I believe I heard a pastor quoting something from Isaiah of God saying: Your joy is My reward" I looked up the concordance online but cannot find this. Can anyone enlighten me on this? It isnt so much where in the Bible this may be found but if at all God said that.

Perhaps you are referring to a reference in Nehemiah 8:10 - "...the joy of the Lord is your strength?"Dan/\\/\\/\\

Isaiah 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There is also Hebrews 12:2, where 'joy' is the reward of Jesus for enduring the cross.I recommend this Bible search engine. Just remember to change the beginning book to Genesis for an Old Testament search. The writing is clear and large and the word you're seeking will be highlighted in blue (against a beige background). Even if 'joy' is only part of the word, every word in which it appears will be shown.http://www.olivetree.com/cgi-bin/EnglishBible.htm

Thanks for trying to help find the right verse where the idea that OUR JOY IS HIS REWARD was the theme. I dont believe the verses you mentioned are the ones that were used. The words "OUR JOY IS HIS REWARD" may not be verbatim but I wonder if the idea is bible-based. I remember being so moved by the idea that Our Father considers our joy so highly, I like to believe that is true.
