I just tried using the "quote" feature, in a reply to a thread, without success. As prompted, after hitting the quote button above the box, I pasted in the desired text. However, after hitting submit, my reply only showed up as a blank space on the page of the thread.
What may be the problem: user error, software compatibility, other?
I'd greatly appreciate if someone will help me figure things out.
Try this:
Type "[/ quote]” to begin a quote and then "[ quote]” to end it. Just without the space.
I use the other way round.
[*quote] Put the copied content here that you want to appear quoted.
[*/quote]
Just remove the *.
try it here to test it out.
ie:
quote test
quote test
Thanks, much, Greg and all who gave input. At first, I thought everyone meant to use those brackets, etc., after hitting the quote button above the message box. So, why does the button exist, if we are to manually input the brackets, etc.? Did it work at one time?
