They are not adamant about the date of 7000 BC which is a good admission on their part.

No argument here, but can you expect people who cannot (yet) see Who the Messiah is to get dates right? I thought it was refreshingly charitable (on their part, considering the fallen nature) that they did not insist that their archaeological dating was correct. That shows an openness to adjust their calculations as new data emerges.
I don't need to see any proof of what God has done. What I don't know or understand, I just believe by faith. Praise Jesus!
We know this Stone Age settlement existed; it would be very interesting to know if it is mentioned at all in scripture. Not sure how we could ever know this, however.
I like archaeology, paleontology, etc. Even if I do not agree with certain scientists' assessments I enjoy looking at the findings themselves.
The first Biblical mention of human architecture was the city built by Cain for his son Enoch in Genesis 4:17. Do any of its ruins exist today? I don't know.
It is clear that early church christians held to the view that the world was 4000 years old only before Christ. That leaves us with 6000 years now and the believe was the 1000 year millenium would then make 7000 years. Seven being the number of perfection modeling the 7 days of creation.
I hold to that view myself, as do Ken Ham (Answers in Genesis) and so many other Christians. However, there are those, such as Finis Dake, who subscribe to a pre-Adamic creation. This has been debated ad nauseam on other threads.
