“ All to the Glory of God”

Psalm 139:23-24 King James Version (KJV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Should be an appropriate prayer for every believer. 🙏 Do we hate unrighteousness?
Is there anything in me that grieves you God?
Are we willing to ask God to further His work of sanctification in us?

General Bible principles to follow.

Whatsoever ye do
in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17

Whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

In Everything that we Say, do, think, enjoy, we must ask the following questions:
Can it be done to God’s glory.
Can it be done " in the name of the Lord Jesus, asking His blessing on the activity.
Can it be done while giving thanks to God?
Is it a Christ like action?
Will it weaken the sincere conviction of other believer. Romans 14:21
Will it weaken my desire for intimate fellowship with Christ. Will it weaken or hinder my witness for Christ. Does it please God, glorify Him. Our guide is simply this:
"Do All to the glory of God”

It is certainly truth you are speaking here.

Is it for God's glory, or our own?

These Psalm verses are among verses I have explicitly reflected upon and quoted not once in the past - no not by personal choice. I was in fact lead to pray the same prayer just yesterday (if not the day before or today). It seems the more one advances in spiritual things, the more one realize for themselves that deception is a reality. But with this prayer on hand, you can hand over leadership back to him who can handle it best and thereby void many possible shipwrecks. It is true that we are expected to be able to tell that Christ lives in us but this does not seem to ever render one immune from possible deception that could be ruinous.
