I'm not too sure about what the word 'suck' means.

It means we are babies,.. sucklings when we should be more mature-
Have you watched the excerpt from the sermon?

I changed the title of this thread to: Francis Chan - The Reason Why You're Unhappy

This sentence was edited for the sake of not going into inappropriate detail: The original meaning of that term has to do with sexual immorality.

In another recent sermon, in reference to Isaiah's encounter with God in Isaiah 6, Chan compared the prophet's exclamation of "Woe is me!" to using the f word.

I think these are instances of Chan wanting to be "relevant" and cool, and not heeding the admonitions in God's Word not to use profane language.

We can civilly agree to disagree though, so please don't throw stones at me if you disagree lol. I say that because in another thread I was "electronically" attacked for simply sharing my opinion, and seeking to do so civilly imo.

Brethren,

the reason for changing the title on this thread is that I do not agree we should promote of that work used. Let us not go into detail imagining why, he used the term in the middle of his sermon illustration for effect of those who are still "bables" who need milk.

Hi Greg, I went ahead and edited that first sentence in my last post. I offer my apologies as I think I should have been more careful not to stumble anyone.

thanks brother for your sensitivity to the Lord.

I did think both sermons (the one to which the link was posted in the OP and the one I mentioned) made good points that we need to heed today, so I don't want to take away from that.
