Hi y'all, I agree with 'love', however just a little colour to the picture. When Jesus gave his life for us, he said three words, 'It is finished' that third word contains the understanding for the single word 'agape', 'paid in full' What a sacrifice! So this leads to 'Christ and Him crucified' ~ the Gospel : namely : 'Jesus died for our sins, was buried and on the third day rose from the dead.''Why do we assume that profound truths can be simplistically stated?' It is tragic that the meaning and use of the word "love" has evolved into something very different in people's minds - nothing like it really is in scripture.Nevertheless, Scripture gives ample examples of love, even without using the word. The examples of Christ, and his Father are the best. Likewise our example should provide the best definition for the word "love" - and thus the summary of the entire Old and New Testament. Diane

Gosh, doesn't that seem like a plan excellently executed by the Enemy? What a great way to cheapen the Word of God.
