Thank you Mr. President

Thank you Mr. President, that, in line with your campaign promises before the 2016 election, today you are going to nominate a pro-life judge to serve on the Supreme Court. This lady and her husband have seven children, two of which were adopted from special needs programs. She is a brilliant Constitutional scholar who has a long record of high achievement, and she will not interpret the Constitution to bring about social agendas she wants to see. She will simply interpret it for what it says. If the Republicans in the Senate can hold together long enough, Judge Amy Coney Barrett WILL BE CONFIRMED before the November 3 election.

It's rumored this lady has experienced some of the gifts that came out of the charismatic renewal. She likely speaks more than one language if you catch my drift.

Thank you Mr. President. Just like you promised you would do.

DONE!

brother,

It is a blessing to see righteous judges being appointed in America. Yet the only hope for the nation is repentance, prayer and the mercy of God.

Evil is abounding, the church is being influenced more by the world's values then it is influencing the world.

May the Kingdom of God grow in America.

I agree. This didn't hurt things though. I know you understand that.

Thanks.

David, I hope you are right. I have followed the political world since I was a young girl (b.1947 -do your math- lol) and I have never seen such conflict, turmoil as we are seeing today. I also suspect - no I am certain - the fault of this lies at the hands of apostates or lukewarm folks who are given to compromise and embrace sin.

David, have you noticed that in history the people who led perversion, conflict, atrocities in society are those whose roots are in the Christian church and/or are secular Jews? People who have known about God but have spurned Him. Romans 1 informs us that if people reject God he will give them over to a reprobate mind. Seems to me one is seeing a lot of reprobates in places of authority.

I do hope Amy will get the position on the supreme court.

Be sure to use hand sanitizer before lifting up our hands to pray for those in authority.
Paul exhorted Timothy to have men everywhere lift up "holy” hands in prayer WITHOUT wrath or disputing and to pray for those in authority, for king, and governors, etc.
However, we should not rush into prayer before we have "washed our hands…you sinners and purify your hearts you double minded.” Considering the current toxic political atmosphere, we can easily get soiled by all the mudslinging. Surgeons must scrub their hands before they use them, because all their skill and knowledge can be lost or forfeited when their hands are contaminated with germs.
Believers need to sanitize our hands from all the divisive rhetoric and animosity before we lift our hands up in prayer for our nation’s leaders. Regardless of which party "wins” -they will need God’s help to govern beneficially and we will need to pray for God’s mercy to be extended towards them. Placing our hope in any politician or party apart from God’s help will only lead to a short-lived celebration and very likely to bitter disappointment.
The greatest election ever held took place when the Father chose the Son. Our joy and peace come from knowing that whoever is elected as the next president of the United States will be supervised by the Father’s elect overseer - Jesus Christ our Lord!
The election of Jesus Christ by God the Father reminds me of the verse in this old Hymn ”“

This is My Father’s world O let me ne’er forget,
that though the wrong seems oft so strong- God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world, the battle is not done
Jesus who died will be satisfied and earth and heaven be one.

1 Timothy 2:1-4
King James Version

2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Regardless of a person's personality.. and liking or not liking a Presidential Candidate. Scripture teaches us to pray. for those who are in authority..
And YES...we much have clean hands and pure hearts. Psa 24..
David wrote Psa 51:10 CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART.. renew a right spirit within me..
David was concerned with His own heart as we all should be.. Praise For HIS word that is our guideline and a lamp unto our feet. Psa 119.
May all Vote Biblically.... God will put people in that many wont like but if you read all the prophets.. They were rejected and not well liked.. HOWEVER.... GOD gave them assignments because He knew they could complete them..
However they had a job to do and they did it in OBEDIENCE to GOD.. As Long as GOD is pleased.. May all the church people vote biblically in JESUS name..

So Mrs. Barrett, a Constitutional originalist and pro life mother of seven, was sworn in as an associate member of the Supreme Court yesterday and will begin working on cases today. Thank you Mr. President. Just as you promised.

This appointment is possibly the single biggest change of how our country interprets the law (constitution) since Roe v Wade and as such possibly the most effective accomplishment of President Trump’s first term.
With so much coming into the light of day wether it’s child trafficking, back door deals, internal corruption, foreign interests, etc... and now with this the 3rd SCJ to be appointed,... it appears the Lord has moved, hearing our prayers and having mercy on our nation.
Thankfulness best describes my response to seeing His hand at work and just how this changes the world our children will inherit from us 🙏🏻

I couldn't agree with you any more than I do. If re-elected, the President may be called on to nominate as many as two more justices. And it's not just Roe vs Wade that may come to be at stake although that may be a priority for many. There are many other decisions that the Supreme Court makes that affect many also. Mrs. Barrett is a Constitutional purist like future nominees may be if our current President has any say so.

J
JFW Oct 27, 2020

Yes Amen!
I only site Roe because it seems to have marked a turning point in our nations interpreting the Constitution-
(Personally) ACB may very well be the best appointment in my lifetime and will assuredly help shape the country for the better 🙏🏻

Not to derail the thread...
there was a certain retired fireman that prophesied these things that many dismissed but have apparently been confirmed in the annals of time... of my memory serves me, we are in for a few more historic events :)

Additionally, having been reading the "comments” sections of articles there seems to be a world wide movement supporting President Trump that has been both surprising and encouraging. Many of these international perspectives seem to suggest that his victory next week will ultimately prove to affect their countries (positively) as well. Honestly I can’t remember nor have I read of anything like it before and we’d do well to embrace the time we’re in and not shrink back 😇

True change comes only through repentance and seeking God.

Matthew 24:4-31
King James Version
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Brothers, lets be careful with what we see and hear from politicians. Our faith is to be placed in God alone not on men. Its great to hear about righteous judges but President Trump has done close to nothing for abortions. He said a lot of the right words that attractive many believers but has failed on the pro-life. I want you to know that the President has the power of Executive Action which he could easily use to remove abortion. He has issued over 190 executive orders and none to remove abortions. This is extremely saddening. With his party in control of the white house and the senate this is truly possible. Remember Mathew 7, that teaches us that we will know them by their fruits. Back it 2016 when he was running he was asked about abortion and he told the reporter that the laws were set and he was going to leave them at that.

I do not want to jump to conclusion but I truly think he does not really care but says it verbally to gain votes.

May God give everyone revelation in these times.

My prayer is that the President will repent of his sins just like you and I had to do.

Blessings.

Grace and peace to you 🙏🏻

You wrote; "I want you to know that the President has the power of Executive Action which he could easily use to remove abortion"

My understanding is that he (POTUS) is not a king and therefore can’t simply decree things at will. EO’s have to be actuated by something, so as to provide legal access to said power. These are predicated on need in most cases, (even if sometimes preemptively). For example; if there is a natural disaster, POTUS can legally access resources to address it. However, because of the separation of power inherent in our governmental architecture a President cannot unilaterally, by Executive Order, overturn a Supreme Court ruling that effectively changed the law of the land.

Honestly brother Fred, I’d like to believe that he would have done it day one if he could. 🤷🏽”â™‚️

We are in agreement on this,... repentance is the only hope for anyone and as such I pray for mercy 🙏🏻

Hello Fletcher,

This is very interesting. The fact is, before day one for him, he has been talking about removing the Affordable Care Act which is currently set in Law. He was quick to challenge it and now there is a Supreme Court suit on it led by his administration. They call it unconstitutional. Why then, does he not do the same with abortion? He has shown no urgency on this matter. He has expressed more urgency in removing ACA than anything else. If he was willing, he would use his Executive order. May God forgive us all because many have put their trust more in one man than on God in these times.

If I'm correct, the President cannot just issue an executive order to end abortion. It has to be done at the Congressional legislative level. Then any ruling there against abortion would likely be challenged all the way to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, he promised to nominate pro life justices to the Supreme Court and that he has done more than once.

J
JFW Oct 29, 2020

Thank you for your response :)

The POTUS does not possess the authority to overturn Supreme Court decisions-
We agree that he (POTUS) has not attempted to do so,... my understanding is because it would be an illegal act -

But we can and should still pray 🙏🏻

Fred wrote:

You were already told why he cannot do this, so why did you make the same statement again?

If the President could simply overrule Supreme Court rulings he does not like or nullify statutes he is not a fan of, he would be a tyrant, not a President.

The President can do nothing about abortion law as it stands, other than speak out against it and appoint judges who might be willing to change it.

Which, of course, is exactly what he has done.

There is another area where we share a common concern in that people put their faith in a person rather than God.
Faith in Christ alone is the way, there is no other.

(For me) it’s not the person who is president but the idea of America to which I am obliged. It seems a worthy endeavor and I’m grateful for the opportunity and consider myself accountable to the Lord for how I invest it.

I do openly confess I believe the Lord is still very much in the business of seeking and finding willing vessels 🙏🏻
We are commanded ;” Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
