I got to watch the most part of it. I did not find anything that is new being told in the video. I liked the way they exaggerated the advertising part shown in the video where they are personalizing the advertisement based on your mood etc.
Back in early 2000, everything on the internet costed money. The email was with limited space and unless you keep deleting your old email, you will easily run out of space in your server. But with Gmail coming into the game, they gave unlimited email space, but with a clause. Your emails will be read and used for advertisement purposes. Today we have free google services and we all enjoy it. But we do not know how Google is making money using these so-called free services.
Google collects all your travel info using google maps. which is then used to sell stuff to vendors like how frequently are you visit grocery shops and at what time etc.
All these services we enjoy and now has become our day to day part of life. But we pay a price for all of them which is our personal data is being tracked and sold.
But I have no problem with it. I believe as Christians we should all live 'come and see' lifelike how Jesus lived. Let people know our private life and know how Christ is the center of it all. I have nothing to hide in my life and hence it does not matter.
Sometime back I shared this in my church. Just like how Daniel and his friends were forced by the King of Babylon to eat his choice of Food. Today Youtube and google are making you eat (watch) what they wanted you to watch to consume your time. But we think that without this king's food we cannot live and life will be boring. This is not true. We can still ignore them and have a bright exciting life like how Daniel and his friend's faces shined.
