During our morning Bible studies, my wife and I have shifted to the point that we are now going through the Bible book-by-book and verse-by-verse. In addition, we're trying a new path through the Bible. After completing the Gospels and Acts, we began going back through the Law (before we go back through the Epistles). We're enjoying this new journey through the Word of God.
Recently, we read through Exodus. The chapters regarding the Tabernacle and priests are particularly fascinating. We read through Chapter 29 and the sacrifices that the Lord wanted inside the Tabernacle and compound and those that would be kept outside (such as the flesh and intestines).
Since there is so much of the Old Testament and New Testament comparisons/contrasts that can be considered "types and shadows," does anyone know of any sermons that mention this particular chapter/section? Do you have any thoughts about how this relates to our New Covenant worship of the Lord?
Now, we do listen to expository Bible teachings. We've enjoyed listening to J. Vernon McGee, Skip Heitzig, etc. I've listened to their thoughts on this part of Exodus; however, I'm interested in finding some other thoughts -- particularly as it might draw a picture of New Testament service.

BTW, I've long thought that it would be fantastic if a a section was added to the SermonIndex forums that could facilitate Bible study book-by-book. It could include 66 subsections that a person might find discussions about specific books and chapters (with those recommendations).
Such a sub-section (under the Scriptures and Doctrine section) or even an entirely different section could facilitate discussion of specific books or chapters of the Bible. It could also include recommendations for sermons regarding those sections.
Of course, this might not fit in here given how many Books of the Bible there are. Still, I really enjoy reading the thoughts of others who might reveal something from Scriptures as each of us journey through our Bible study. If ever there was a time to focus on studying the Word of God, it is now.
