What are some of your favorite passages that you've never heard a sermon on?
One of my all time favorites is 1 Samuel 2:1-10. Here Hannah is praying, thanking God for Samuel; however, it is actually a prophesy about Christ! It's so incredible, but in all my years of church-going or sermon searching, I have never ran across a sermon about this passage. So good and so wonderful!

Along the same lines I have always been struck by the story of Hannah and the mocking by the other wives that were not barren.
The pressure this caused in Hannah was like a garden hose when you bend it in half and the pressure continues to build and build and continued until Hannah finally prayed in anguish and was seen by Eli. When that "garden hose” was unkinked out shot Samuel the prophet and first judge of Israel.
The children of the mocking wives were unknowns.
I always thought this episode would make a great sermon on prayer.

We live in a time we’re divorcing spouses and marrying others is tolerated, no sadly it’s totally acceptable within most churches! Even amongst pastors elders and deacons within most churches. I believe this lost truth needs to be dusted off and brought back to pulpits across America with the empowering of the Holy Spirit. It’s lack of being taught, due to self conviction and leadership failing to obey God, and failing to administer it to the churches, has created a huge stumbling block!

All of Gideon's 70 sons (other than his youngest son, Jotham) were killed by one son, Abimelek on a single stone at his father's house. The areas of Shechem and Beth-Millo crown Abimelek, son of Gideon, to be their king.
Jotham curses both Abimelek and those who crowned him as king.
Abimelek is hit in the head by a mill stone. It cracks his skull. Instead of allowing a woman (the one who tossed the mill stone) to kill him, he asks his armor-bearer to run him through with a sword.
*EDIT - It isn't a "favorite" passage; however, it's just one that I've rarely heard preached.
I have never heard these two passages preached together:
And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And they cast lots to divide his garments. - Luke 23:33-34
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.
They cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"
Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. - Revelation 6:9-11

Here’s what Jesus commanded Peter to preach:
And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." - Acts 10:42-43
There is in the whole counsel, in the whole character of Jesus both a merciful heart (today) and a vengeful heart. (one day). Both were commanded to be preached by Jesus in the same gospel sermon to a household that Peter was called to. Why the judge part and not just the savior part?
For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,
that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. - John 5:22-23
This whole character whole counsel preaching honors the son. Half of it dishonors him by implication. Peter says Jesus commanded the apostles to preach both in the same sermon. L
