"God sets the solitary in families." I am looking for like minded friends.

I hope this belongs here.

I live in Vermont and am looking for other believers close by. Vermont is oppressive and finding real Christian friends seems impossible.

I go to Church in New Hampshire, that is 2½ hours from where I'm staying. I go here because churches in my state are far and few. And God brought me here and God really moves here.

It's a holiness Church, Pentecostal.

I can't go all the time, so I've only been once in about 3 months.

However it is a bit smaller in attendance than other churches, and I do not have very many friends outside close by.

I only really talk to one other occasionally, but over the phone.

As you can probably see my life is very lonely, and fellowship is almost non existent.

My mother went home to be with Jesus 2 years ago. Since she left I've become completely barren and lost. She was always there.

I know God is with me, and promises to never leave me or forsake me.

I'm just in great isolation, and wish I had the fellowship like the Churches of the New Testament. Where they were together daily breaking bread from house to house. -Acts 2:46

Is anybody here close by Vermont?

Your story breaks my heart. I will be praying for you on Tuesdays that you can find a fellowship of believers. I don't know anyone up in that part of the states, but our God knows. He can and will help you. He is a Father to the fatherless. He is a lover of His children and He intends you to be with other believers. Knowing these things, it is only a matter of time before He brings them to pass.

Will be praying for you Justin with all the brethren here. I know how lonely your situation can be. Spend more time in prayer, in communion with Christ. He is to take the place of our loneliness. I go to a small church sometimes, but also truly desire real fellowship locally, where it’s a family in Christ. A real family seeking Christ and maturing in Him daily. Thankfully I have my wife and now my brother too. I will keep you in prayer brother for true fellowship.

I ask the Lord to set you in fellowship with other believers. I ask Him to bind you in true friendship with 2-3 others who also belong to Him and seek Him.

What has He been saying to you -- if you are aware of anything, and I don't imply that you should be -- about this lately?

Also, I heartily recommend finding a church nearer you. A Google search reveals a number of churches that might be classified as Pentecostal ("Spirit-filled" or charismatic, if you will) throughout Vermont. I know NH is "next door" and both states are small. :)

I do not know clearly. I do know that I will be moving soon but I dont know where. I've gotten several indications of it, and have been feeling it myself, as well as my situation changing. However, I have no resources or outside connections, neither the qualifications or money to live somewhere else, so I don't know how it will happen.

Perhaps the Lord put the desire for fellowship within your heart so that you may act on it...
Step out in faith, He will meet you and receive you, establishing fellowship as you witness and testify to those round about you, He will be there in your midst.
Ask Him for opportunities to share your hope with others that yet know Him not. Taking your portion, breaking it and sharing it- He will multiply it in others and you will have the fellowship you seek 🙏🏻
Pray for those whom you have daily contact with, that their hearts might be opened to Him, and be ready to feed them the words of life, teach them to seek His kingdom and it’s righteousness. You will find that the more you are willing to step out in faith and share the light of His love, the more He will pour into you to give,... His mercies are fresh every morning :)))
