Word of the Lord given through Kenneth E. Hagin, Prayer Seminar, April 28, 1983

"In this move, in this move, in this move that is about to come, and even you’re on the edge of it right now. It will not be altogether something new that you’ve never seen. It’ll be a combination of EVERYTHING you’ve seen put together and then…plus a little bit more.

In this move of God that is just about to spring upon you, there will be a manifestation of casting out demons that you haven’t seen yet. Now some have drawn back from casting out demons. And the Spirit of God said, "I began a move along that line a few years ago and men aborted the move, they mixed some of their own thinking in on it and they tried to control it, and do it according to pattern. And according the way that we THINK it ought to be done.” But you haven’t seen anything yet of what you’re going to see in dealing with demons.

For demons are let loose upon the earth, they’re going about as never before. Because they know their time is short! And so in this multiplication, this advance of demon activity there will be the activity of the Holy Ghost. Demons that have harassed men, demons that have held ministries in check will leave. And you have not seen yet what you will see in the area of dealing with demons, casting out demons; exercising authority over demons, and we’re about to step into it. Like you’d step through a door into another room.

And secondly, saith the Spirit of God, "You have not seen the revival of divine healing that you’re about to see.”
Oh yes you saw those that I raised up. You’ve seen men and women, mightily used of My Spirit. I sent them forth as a pilot program to try to train you. But many just looked at them and lifted them up, and some of them were lifted up in pride and the anointing left them. And some became money minded and lost the anointing.

But there will arise a group in this day that’s a brand-new breed. They’ll not be greedy of filthy lucre. They’ll not be wanting to attract attention unto themselves. They would care less whether God uses me. They’d rather God would use you. And God will not just use ministers, He’ll use laymen.
And there’ll be a revival of divine healing such as you have not seen in your lifetime, or read about, or heard about, saith the Lord!

And a revival of the supernatural, not only the supernatural in casting out devils. Not only the supernatural in healing the sick. Not only the supernatural in speaking with other tongues. But the supernatural in the realm of the seen realm.

Men will see the Glory of God, a cloud will hang over certain congregations, even the church building for days at a time. And everybody that passes by, sinner and saint alike will say, "Well what in the world is that? I’ve never seen anything like that.”

And there will be in other places, the fire of the Spirit…Oh yes, in the spirit realm some of us have seen it. In the spirit realm we’ve been conscious of the fire of God. But the fire will actually come into manifestation. And there’ll be people, sinners as well as saints, that will see fire all over the heads of the people.
There will be people driving down the street, or down the highway and they’ll see fire on top of the buildings. And they’ll come and say, "What does all this mean?”

But you see the Lord will use signs of His Presence to bring people in the last days, into the fullness of His Spirit, and into full salvation.

And signs, signs! What kinds of signs?

Miraculous things in the realm of the Spirit! And then they’ll be manifested in the realm of the physical. And the Glory of God will fall. And the power of God will be in manifestation. And men will ””and women too, will even be transported like Philip was and found in another place. And great! GREAT! GREAT! Shall be the reward thereof.

For the Lord God is the same God today as He was yesterday. His power has not diminished. And His Name is still the same. Today He can make the iron axe-head to float. Today He can divide the river just for two men to cross over on the other side. Today He can feed five thousand with a little boy’s lunch. He is the Miracle Working God.

Brag on Him! Lift Him up! Draw attention unto Him! Tell about how great He is. Get up in faith and tell what great things He’s going to do. And He’ll move and keep His Word with you! And MANY shall be astonished.

But the greatest miracle of all is that there’ll be so many fish caught in the net that the nets can’t hold them. There won’t be church houses enough to hold the people. For the purpose of it all is that you may be fishers of men. Hallelujah! Quit fishing, quit fishing in your bathtub. There’s not any fish in your own bathtub. Go out where the fish are and throw out the net. Not the hook””the NET! And pull it in. And bring them in.

And the glory of the Lord shall shine. And the end time shall come. And you’ll stand in the place of ministry that you’ve not stood in before. And will stand in the place that’s been ordained for you from the foundation of the earth!

And if it were to be ”” if it could…if it could… if it could be told you. If we were able to tell you in human language that which will transpire in some of your lives, your mind would not be able to comprehend it. It would almost blow your mind. But you’ll see it! You’ll rejoice in it! You’ll be glad of it!

It’s just out there a little ways in front of you. Be faithful, be joyous, and rejoice in the Lord always. And He’ll bring it to pass.
Many shall go and tell the story, and His great Glory show. The power of God in manifestation shall be the gifts of the Spirit…the manifestation of His Spirit.

Into full potential shall come the ministry gifts, the apostle and prophet, the evangelist, and pastor and teacher too….Shall flow as one, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha…one body, in one spirit shall go forth to conquer and to do His deeds. And great shall be the reward thereof.

Thank Him! Glory to God. Now let me give you a further word of wisdom and advice.
Being conscious of a mighty move in your spirit, wanting and desiring to do the will of God…but DON’T try to do it yourself.

Just learn to relax and to flow with the Spirit. Don’t try to figure it out in your head, "What does He want me to do?”
Just learn to relax and flow with the Spirit. It’ll take care of itself; you don’t have to worry.

You see moving into that place of ministry or whatever it is, whether it’s full time ministry, or pulpit ministry, or personal ministry, or whatever your place is in the Body of Christ””moving into that place is fueled by prayer, fired by the Spirit and ignited with His Glory.

But you see if there’s no fuel there, there’s nothing to ignite.

You see it’s like the furnace. There’s a pilot light there that fires the thing. And then, when the whole thing has become ignited then the heat flows out. Ha, ha, ha, can you see what He’s saying? Fueled by prayer, fired by the Spirit, ignited with His Glory. Hallelujah.

You see, if there’s no fuel there, there’s nothing to fire. If there’s no fuel, there’s nothing to fire. Fueled by prayer. Hallelujah!

This spoke to me sister. I do not know the brother, but I received many confirmations from this post through the Holy Spirit. Thank you...and amen.

So is this purported prophecy from 1983?

I’m not sure about that TMK. I do know what I wrote a brother last night though. This confirms what I’m being led to do. Praise God! He still talks to us through His Word and even old messages, through His Holy Spirit, to confirm what He has revealed to us! :)

Perhaps one of a few tough things for us to learn through Him. I have hope through Christ and the longsuffering Holy Spirit, Father will teach us both.”

Yea...this guy relaxed as the bucks flowed in from unsuspecting, undiscerning supporters.

He didn't flow with God's Spirit, he slithered like a snake from under a rock.

I agree that KH is on exceedingly shaky ground credibility wise and otherwise.

Dear sister Frannie, I know you pray earnestly for revival and I do not want to pour cold water over you, but there is better material available on revival out there which you had posted.

I used to gobble up books from KH but chucked them away some years back. He has a solid old school pentecostal background and became a leader of the Word of Faith movement. I used to drink it all in. There is truth with error mixed together which makes it even more dangerous.

Did the predicted revival happen?

I am well familiar with Kenneth Hagin and his teachings, And while I do not agree with everything that he said, I can say that he was a man that lived by the Word of God and walked in the Spirit. He also brought correction to those that got in error on the prosperity gospel in a book that he wrote "The Midas Touch.” He met with the well known faith teachers in Tulsa and rebuked the error that had crept into the faith teaching.

Greg, could you please tell me the teachings that you are referring to that are borderline heretical?

Testimony of former follower -

I sat under the teaching of Kenneth Hagin for fourteen years. Over these years I read most of his writings, attended his school, sat in his classes and listened to hundreds of his sermons on both CD and tape.

Nothing in my experience as a Christian has damaged me more. I am not alone. Millions of others have been led a stray by this very popular and false teacher who has reproduced himself in other ministers such as Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, Mark Hankins, Frederick Price, Michael Murdock and Joyce Meyers.

His teachings are extremely dangerous because of four basic reasons:

1) He teaches Scripture out of context. He only uses Scripture to fit his doctrines and stories. Not reading Scripture in the context of which it was written is the fastest way into error.

2) Many of his writings were stolen from EW Kenyon. Kenneth Hagin plagiarized massive amounts of Kenyon’s writings. EW Kenyon started out as a Free Will Baptist, but became a passionate student of Christian Science and New Age teachings. He attended a New Age college and was seen at many lectures. He blended Christianity with New Age, Christian Science and Eastern Religion. Hagin then plagiarized these writings for years.

3) Kenneth Hagin also taught the Bible in light of the eight visitations that he claimed to have received from Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith also claimed extra revelations. Kenneth Hagin taught for decades, using his claimed visions to back up his spin on Scriptures. The Apostle Paul warned against this in the First Chapter of Galatians. Hagin taught on many things which are never taught in Scripture.

4) Kenneth Hagin claimed to be a Prophet and claimed to have been to Heaven and Hell where he received special revelation and instruction from Jesus. Kenneth Hagin would warn his students and followers with many horror stories and testimonies from those who would not receive him. This has resulted in thousands of honest and sincere Christians to become brainwashed and manipulated. The Word of Faith has become a dangerous cult that controls it’s members with spiritual intimidation and erroneous, manipulative teaching from Scripture that has been twisted out of its intended context.

#2 is correct. He plagiarized E.W. Kenyon's work who was a new age guy or predecessor to it.

See "A Different Gospel" by D.R. McConnell (a pentecostal scholar).

I've only read the first few chapters of the book but that was enough for me. In one of the chapters he "copies and pastes" E.W. Kenyon's writings and then does the same with Hagin's writings. It is literally word for word. You can see it for yourself. Kenyon's daughter was upset because Hagin took credit for her father's work.

So we can also add dishonesty into the picture here. And this man is considered the father of the word of faith movement.

You can always find critics of Kenneth Hagin, but there are many more that have bee greatly helped by his teachings. I have been to many of his camp meetings in Tulsa, and I know what he teaches. He was very knowledgeable of the Word of God, and was led by the Spirit. I am not defending those faith teachers that did get in error. I am in contact with many pastors and leaders, elders that speak with authority and they will tell you that Kenneth Hagin had a great positive influence in their life. I can say the same. I don’t get my information from the heresy hunters, but from the Word and the Spirit, and having walked with the Lord for 48 years now.

But Mike how can you justify what is seen in the video that Savannah posted? It’s absurd and possibly evil.

The trouble with us is that we've preached a 'cross' religion, and we need to preach a 'throne' religion. By that I mean that people have thought they were supposed to remain at the cross. Some have received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, have backed up to the cross, and have stayed there ever since...The cross is actually a place of defeat, whereas the Resurrection is a place of triumph. When you preach the cross, you're preaching death, and you leave people in death.

I know about Hagin. I understand his error.

I also know about Mike. I understand his testimony and witness as much as one can on a message board. Mike is not Hagin.

I love what I know of Mike.

I have no personal criticisms of Mike.

I may be a little over sensitive because we were involved in a fellowship that got very weird with the sort of things seen in the video and when we talked to leadership about our concerns it fell on totally deaf ears like we were the ones with the problem.

Hey Todd, I know. 😎 I just wanted Mike to know when I contrast Hagin to the Bible it is about Hagin not him. One of my closest, dearest friends whom I trust with every spiritual bone in me likes Hagin too.

KH may have been possessed by spirits, not the Holy Spirit. Not much different than BH (Benny Hinn).

I'd say that 48 days after a conversion to Christ, one would know an ace of spades from a queen of hearts, and who The Joker is!

Now if we turn those days into years, we ought to be a shark by now...but WOW is me! At this point, we've reached the point of no return.

Like the atheist who was being presented with evidence of God said when he was asked how much evidence he needed, replied "no amount of evidence could make me believe."
