The Cost Of Anointing - David Wilkerson
I need a new anointing
Rev 2:2 ‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot endure evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them [to be] false; 3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
4 ‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
5 ‘Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lampstand out of its place ”” unless you repent.
If you want your anointing back, this is how you do it.
2 Tim 1:6-7 Therefore I remind YOU stir up the gift of God which is IN YOU through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The gifts and the calling of God are without repentance, meaning God doesn't repent for trusting you with them, but when we fail, WE are the ones who have to repent.
I hope you listened to the whole sermon, The Cost of the Anointing. There is a "cost" to even get the anointing and there's definitely a "cost" to get it back if you lost it.

Jesus Promises Living Water
37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, "Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” 39 (When he said "living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
I think it would be important to talk about the difference between the outer anointing that David Wilkinson seems to be talking about for ministry of service And then differentiate between that and the inner anointing of the new man that functions as our new character. Anointing operates from within that has the power to transform us as Christ is being formed in US. And the outer anointing has no power to transform us but functions to transform others and bring deliverance ,teachings and manifestations of power, this anointing is normally associated with the baptism of the spirit and the spiritual anointing that comes upon you to make one bold and flow with prophetic and apostolic gifts (ascension gift anointing).
