Slain officer's daughter delivers moving eulogy

A police officer who was a committed Christian was gunned down and killed while responding to a domestic abuse situation outside of a grocery store in Mesquite, TX. At his funeral, his daughter, also a committed Christian gave a eulogy to him. It is poignant and heart touching. She speaks in a shaky voice but holds up well under the circumstances. The link below gives the story and I just wanted to highlight the part of the eulogy where she has no animosity toward the killer but instead, a burning desire to share Jesus with him. The article quotes her in italics, these moving words of love. And at the bottom of the page is the video recording of her eulogy. The video is quite moving and touching. This is the spirit of Christmas, to save that which is lost.

At the cross, the Lord Jesus prayed for the forgiveness of His enemies, BEFORE anyone repented.

Luke 23:34 ”“
But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.”

The church is called to be conformed to the image of Christ.

Stephen was full of faith and the Holy Spirit and God’s love (Acts 6:5, Rom. 5:5).

He was a true image of his Lord when he was being stoned to death:

Acts 7:59-60 --
They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”
Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.
