May the Lord make 2022 a blessed year for all of you. Yes, it WILL be a very blessed year for you ”“ IF you seek earnestly to be filled with the Holy Spirit every day and diligently take up your cross every day and follow the Lord Jesus. Then the Holy Spirit will be able to make you a little more Christlike this year ”“ in your inner man and in your outward conduct. It all depends on whether you are willing. If you find a hesitation or reluctance, just ask the Lord to make you willing for this. He works in us BOTH TO WILL and TO DO His perfect will (Phil.2:14).
How does God prepare His servants to be effective servants of His to build His church?
D.L.Moody said, "Moses spent forty years thinking he was a somebody; then forty years learning he was a nobody; and finally, forty years discovering what God can do with a nobody.”
So allow God to make you a nobody!
I thank God for the "unknown nobodies” that we have in our CFC churches in many countries, whom God is using in these last days, to build His church.
Brother Parisutham is one of our senior elders in Tamilnadu State in India who has been with CFC for nearly 40 years. Here is how God prepared him for the work of building God’s church in India. Brother Parisutham had a son, John, who was born mentally handicapped. That son lived for 32 years as a mentally handicapped person. During those 32 years, Parisutham and his wife had to do everything (yes, literally, everything) for him. John got epilepsy also at the age of 4 and could not speak or do a single thing to take care of himself. But he grew tall and big and could walk around, which actually made it more difficult for his parents, because he would break things and hurt others when travelling with his parents in a bus, etc ”“ because he did not know what he was doing. He was given every type of medical treatment and even admitted in a good hospital for 3 months at one time. He was given medicines (prescribed by doctors) every day for 30 years. Towards the end of his life, he was being given 17 pills a day. Finally in God’s good time, God called the young man home to heaven (in July 2016). But his son’s handicap did not prevent Brother Parisutham from serving God wholeheartedly in all those 32 years. I know ”“ because I visited him in his home and his village-church numerous times during those 32 years. God moulds SOME of His servants through deep trials like this, over extended periods of time. And this trial (over a period of 32 years) moulded Brother Parisutham into becoming the godly brother that he became, who has been leading not only his own local Tamil-speaking church but also many other churches that he oversees, for many years now ”“ in humility and brokenness, in an exemplary way. God works in amazing ways to equip His servants for His service. And God’s ways are always perfect ”“ and always the very best for each of His children.
