Kanye West and Julia Fox Are in ‘Open Relationship,’ According to New Report

D
drifter Feb 11, 2022

I am not sitting in judgment of Kanye. I remember when he said he became a christian, I had my doubts. I wanted to believe him, but I said we should have a "wait and see" attitude. Let's pray for him; he can still turn away from this wickedness.

Brother,

It is very obvious that Kayne is not really with the Lord he got in touch with what is a superficial Jesus with no real repentance and life-change. There simply is something wrong with that women, and he is "married" so this is adultery.

God help believers to not seek the American cultural Jesus but the "true Jesus of scriptures"

A

Kanye West is a carnal Christian, a babe in Christ that needs to be discipled. It is very difficult, almost impossible for those in the entertainment business to remain faithful, because they are in a worldly business, and eventually they will have to choose Jesus or the world. You can’t have both.

D

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9

It looks to me that he is not genuinely saved. Respectfully, brother, I don't think he could be termed a "babe in Christ". In my opinion the church is so weak and ineffective because we never make good and sure people are truly born again, we never tell them to "examine themselves", like Paul commands, so the church is filled with tares. So often we just slap a "born again" sticker on them after they say a prayer and make a profession of faith, and you're right in one sense, they aren't discipled, but part of discipleship is to make sure they have a genuine conversion experience and bring forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

If I had the opportunity, I would tell Kanye to his face that he is in serious sin and if he continues on in the way he's going he will end up in hell.

Here are some real life consequences of "feel good" theology.

J
JFW Feb 12, 2022

Thats pretty much how I see it, he’s a newborn without someone to disciple him and it appears (like Cephas) he’s being sifted, my prayer is that his faith endures it.
I mean c’mon even Peter was trying to cut a persons throat with Jesus standing there and that was after 3 yrs of being personally discipled by Jesus.
The tendency is to rate a persons faithfulness based on where we are in our walk rather than where they are in there walk. We would do well to be reminded of our own battles those first few years after conversion before we learned to let the Lord be our God, with all of our missteps and miscues and sometimes total crashes... now imagine being under the worlds media microscope. This is not an attempt to excuse sinful behavior or even well intended endeavors in the wrong spirit, rather it is an attempt to be honest about the reality of life with Christ. Let us not consume our young but build them up unto the head. The fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much 💯

I still believe with Christ all things are possible

Fletcher, I appreciate your patience and forbearance with new believers and professing christians.

However, Kanye is living in open, unrepentant fornication; Paul told us "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18

I think the problem is he has been fed hot fudge theology, it tastes good and gives you a sugar rush but it has no nutritional value. He needs someone to warn him in the strongest possible terms that his soul is in eternal peril.

So far as I can tell, he is influenced by Joel Osteen; I am not sure if he goes to Lakewood church, but I would be absolutely shocked if that church practiced church discipline. Not trying to be mean, but I think you could get better theology from fortune cookies...

A
AbideinHim Feb 12, 2022

Brothers,

Please read 1 Corinthians Chapter 1. The Apostle Paul is referring to these weak believers as sanctified in Christ Jesus. The Apostle does deal with the sin in the Church, but he never does say that they needed to be saved.

We are admonished in the Word to restore a fallen brother in the spirit of meekness. It is only by the grace of God that we can stand.

Who does Kanye have in his life that can speak the truth to him?
May the Lord have mercy on him and grant him repentance.

Yes I agree that preachers like Joel Osteen are not teaching the true gospel.

N
narrowpath Feb 12, 2022

This is a perplexing thing. It is very important to establish if someone is backslidden or a simply a false convert.

A true convert would show some fruit of repentance initially, though he backslides later. Then you can admonish him as a brother. If he rejects it, you shun him and tell the church. If he is a false convert, you cannat assume he knows God's ways because his conscience is still in the dark. He needs the gospel preached to him properly

If you get this twisted around, it will make things worse.
If you treat him as a believer when he is not, he receives fake assurance. If you treat him as an unbeliever, when he is indeed backslidden, you cause him serious doubts.

After I met the Lord while in a foreign prison, there were many who imagined I’d be instantly transformed and were openly critical when that wasn’t the case. Being the only while male prisoner in a facility that was 300% over capacity made my conversion a notable thing for some and they would say it wasn’t sincere and call me a hypocrite. The truth is, after the Lord arranged for pardon and deportation back to the states, I immediately began seeking the same life that had led me to prison in the first place, even having some "success” in my criminal endeavors, those were the people I knew, the connections I had, the only people who were looking out for me and trying to help until I got home (Alabama) where my family and friends could help till I could get back on my feet. Tho to be completely honest, I continued in sin for the better part of a decade tho the Lord was disciplining me, I didn’t understand it and didn’t respond as one with understanding. This continued until I found myself with two small children and a young wife that wanted a divorce. In spite of my best efforts, my marriage and small business failed and I was forced to start over (again). Tho this time, I had lost enough, had been made poor enough that I was finally willing to accept the charity of heaven. Tho this was now more than a decade after my conversion and baptism, it was the first point where the Lords will was the central focus and not mine. Still I messed up ALLOT and tho I was sincere, I was sincerely wrong far more often than not but the Lord continued disciplining me and as I began to receive it, He began to gain ground in my heart. After a couple of years of discipleship training in a local church, I grew really hungry for the Lords word and that’s when I found SI 🙏🏻 It was a godsend- that was over a decade ago somewhere around fall of ‘09

So in giving a bit of my testimony, I’m hoping to illustrate how that in spite of how effective Gods grace is, not everyone starts in the same place. I had been in a context (surrounded by) not only sin, but criminal enterprises and there were allot of entanglements that weren’t going to just quit themselves overnight. However once the Lord had finally broken me and I mean broken me clean into with no hope of recovery, which occurred more than a decade after my conversion and baptism, He then baptized me with His Holy Spirit and that changed everything. Instantly most everyone knew something had happened, He made me repent publicly in many different ways doing works meet with repentance. I went from a successful business owner with a wife and two small boys in a nice home on a good street in a respectable neighborhood to literally living on a dog bed in the music room of my unsaved brother in law and I’d never been more content 😊. Did I still have a harvest to reap from all the sowing of sin? ABSOLUTELY! and He spared me not, the shame nor the struggle nor the pain but had to walk it out for all who knew me to see. To this day, I stumble, get distracted, and get things wrong far too often, tho He remains faithful to bring to completion the work which He first began 🙏🏻

It’s been observed that in this world, societies abort their young (effectively consuming them) while they excuse the misdeeds of the adults and the "church” often does the same. This should not be so, but even tho it happens and is even accepted as "normal” in the current culture, Jesus knows well how to keep those whom belong to Him.
It seems that if my life had been under a worldwide media microscope I’d have been given much the same treatment as Kanye and rejected by the greater body but accepted by Christ. He was never ashamed to call me His own but rather demonstrated that I was His by disciplining me and growing Himself in me and me in Christ.

Kanye is a very interesting case in that I can’t think of another conversion that has occurred to a more sinful person with such a high profile worldwide. While it may be, as it was in my situation, a long painful public process, it nonetheless demonstrates Gods mercy, forbearance and long suffering. It’s not that God is slow, as some assume, rather He is patient and merciful, not wanting any to perish but all to come unto repentance 😇

Again, if we were to measure David by the same metrics that we tend to apply to Kanye, he’d fail even more spectacularly for here is a man who is known to be Gods anointed and yet after a lifetime of walking with the Lord with all the triumphs and tragedies, he (David) fell into sin and remained there for years till Nathan was finally able to reach him. Tho this was t without its cost, to both David, his children and Israel herself not to mention the Lords name, nonetheless God never left or forsook him.
Could you even imagine what the current media would do and say if David were PM of Israel today and this happened?? When I look into such things, I can only imagine they (we) would be as likely to mercilessly condemn him with full support of the "church” ... you know the one with tansvestite homosexual drag queens in the pulpit on the one side and CRT promoters in the other openly blaspheming the Lords name in order to keep their coveted 501c3 status with a corrupt system 🤷🏽”â™‚️

As I see it, this man Kanye West, was led astray by his own lusts and in His mercy the Lord offered him redemption,... wether or not he continues with the Lord is up to him but I know this to be true, namely that the same God who reached down and pulled me from the filth and shame of sin more times than Einstein could count will do the same for Kanye if he is willing -

He who sins much is forgiven much and therefore loves much, he who sins little is forgiven little and therefore loves little .

We’d do well not to throw rocks lest they find their way back and hit us in the mouth- yes this has happened to me and many others that I’ve personally witnessed. Rather let us with all meekness and lowliness seek to restore those back to the faith who have fallen into sin.
This is the way ✝️

Fletcher,

This is so good what you shared, and only those that have had similar experiences can relate to what you are saying.

I see this pattern of falling into sin and getting back up to be a pattern for most of the inmates that I have worked with in the prisons.

Those that are truly born of God are kept by God, and the Lord is faithful to finish that good work that He has begun in them.. "Where sin did abound, God’s Grace does much more abound.”

Flechter, thanks for sharing. Your testimony convicted me as. I better retract my post and shut up, because I talked only theory, rather than meeting such a person for real and being led by the spirit of grace and truth.

"God help believers to not seek the American cultural Jesus but the "true Jesus of scriptures"
The world has now captured the church, instead of the church capturing the world. This is the real problem.

But why discuss his life in the first place ?
He is not a leader or a preacher, so maybe we should just pray for him and leave him alone.

D
drifter Feb 12, 2022

I am not trying to throw stones at all, I understand through personal experience that sanctification is a process, and that sometimes believers battle sin and temptation. We need discernment, especially in this hour; I believe we are very near the Lord's return. The Bible warns us about perilous times in the last days. It is not unloving to say maybe he is a false convert; on the contrary, it could be the most loving thing to do for him, it may save his soul from eternal death, to warn him.

I would do this if I knew Kanye personally; someone he is accountable to should do this for him: "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican." Matthew 18:15-17.

"Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning." 1 Timothy 5:20

Since his sin is public and I have no personal access to him, and his sin may affect many new believers in Christ, thinking they can live the way he is, I feel it is the duty of every christian to be aware of this, pray for him, warn others you know may be influenced by him, and, if possible, talk to him personally about it.

"Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning." 1 John 3:7,8

Deogloria, Kanye has tremendous influence; more people listen to him than listen to most preachers. He also has church services. So while he may not be an officially designated teacher or pastor, he is more than an anonymous churchgoer.

Platy Feb 12, 2022

I Corinthians 5:1-13 - [1] It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. [2] And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. [3] For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, [4] In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [5] To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. [6] Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: [8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. [9] I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: [10] Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. [11] But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. [12] For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? [13] But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Paul follows up in 2 Corinthians 2:

II Corinthians 2:1-11 - [1] But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness. [2] For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me? [3] And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all. [4] For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. [5] But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. [6] Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. [7] So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. [8] Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. [9] For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. [10] To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; [11] Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Just posting the above for balance.

Focus on Jesus, Not Man
The reason we don’t need to form a strong opinion about Kanye’s salvation, Bickle explains, is that he’s a new believer. Scripture cautions us about too quickly elevating a new believer to a leadership position in the church.

"[The leader] must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap” (1 Timothy 3:6”“7, NIV).

Jesus Christ is our Savior, not a man. And every new believer needs time to grow. The Church’s role is to surround and support them in their faith.

"I say . . . we need to be in a spirit of encouragement to him,” Bickle continues. "He might find some stumbling and some tripping, like all of us in our early days in the Lord. He isn’t going to come out of ‘the spiritual womb’ in perfect doctrine, in perfect maturity, in perfect humility. No one does. We give each other tons of grace.”

Extend Grace
New believers, like newborn babies, need grace. And famous people, including Kanye West, likely need more because of all the people forming judgments about them.

"He’s got all this attention that’s negative, meaning opinions,” Bickle says. "I can’t imagine what he’s having to navigate in all of this because he wants to live for Jesus. I say we give him time, as a born-again believer in the family of God.”

Time reveals a lot. When Jesus talked about the four types of soil in Mark 4:1”“20, three of the four received the word of God and began to grow, but adversity came, and only one of those soils produced a great harvest. New growth is exciting, but time and life reveal the soil of our hearts (and soil can change through prayer, repentance, and the decisions we make).

Pray
In light of the challenges that all new believers face, including West, prayer is perhaps the most important thing we can do for them.

In Ephesians, Paul exhorts us to "be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, . . . praying at all times in the Spirit, . . . making supplication for all the saints” (Ephesians 6:10, 18, ESV, emphasis added).

Praying for the saints is biblical. So is keeping our attention on Jesus, for He, as the book of Jude says, "is able to keep [us] from stumbling, and to present [us] faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24).

Let that be our prayer for Kanye West, for ourselves, and for all believers.

Mike Bickle

I really like to focus on Jesus. I wish I could only think, talk, sing and write about Him. I wish discernment was a gift nobody needed. (Sigh) But, and I'm not trying to be Mr. Discernment here, Mike Bickle has some ties to guys like Todd White and Bill Johnson. It isn't a sin to check what a teacher says against scripture. Todd White literally pulls people's legs and "heals" them (an old con artist trick) and Bill Johnson has piped in "gold dust" into the vent system at Bethel. Mike is definitely on some dangerous ground associating with these guys. Keep in mind this is the same group of people that fast tracked Todd Bentley back to ministry (who got drunk nightly and cheated on his wife during a so called revival). Saints, there is better counsel out there.

P
Platy Feb 13, 2022

A verse maybe referring to new believers:

I Thessalonians 2:7 - But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

From "John Wesley's Notes On The Bible":

7. But we were gentle - Mild, tender. In the midst of you - Like a hen surrounded with her young. Even as a nurse cherisheth her own children - The offspring of her own womb.

Brother Niegel,

I realize that you desire to test the spirits, but brother you lack discernment concerning some of these brothers, and some of the accusations that you have made are completely false.,I don’t want to turn this discussion in the wrong direction, but I could take point by point that you have made and prove you wrong. You should not be making these accusations until you have done your homework and know something about these brothers ministries and what they are teaching.

Todd Bentley did greatly err from the truth.

D
drifter Feb 14, 2022

It really saddens and greatly discourages me that some dear brothers and sisters and some of the most powerful ministries in the world deliberately shut off their discernment so as to not seem "divisive"; in my opinion they are falling into the "love trap" David Wilkerson warned about so many years ago.
