This will be my last post on here for awhile; I don't know how long. I know I have examined my own heart and I honestly don't see any wrong motivation, all I want is to protect my brothers and sisters from harmful doctrine. All my love and concern ever seem to get me is labelled "divisive". If I have offended anyone, Todd, Mike, anyone else, I'm sorry.

Niegel, you are a good brother and I love you, and know that you have gone through many trials. I am praying for you, and asking the Lord to show me the areas in my life where I am missing the mark.
You’ve never offended me Nigel. We disagree on some things which is perfectly fine and proper. I enjoy our discussions and I do take them to heart.
I agree with the above responses, Nigel. Please reconsider leaving. This is such a lonely world, and true, "following hard after Christ” believers are hard to find. We need each other desperately.
I’m going to speak for me and only for me…
There was a big problem for me with your "Kayne thread” and that problem for me was that I felt it was nothing but GOSSIP as evidenced by the source you provided. I’m neither here nor there with Kayne (now Jeezy) but there are two things I’ve observed about him:
1) Kayne is a VERY vocal person. He doesn’t seem to have a problem saying whatever it is he wants to say when he wants to say it. Check his track record and you’ll find this to be true. Not one time in the "source” you provided is there any quotes from him or even the young woman. It’s all "somebody” said. That is called GOSSIP.
2) Both Kayne AND his wife Kim are VERY masterful when it comes to manipulating the media. So unless you see one of them actually say "something” I wouldn’t put a lot of stock in it.
The other problem for me is that with everything that has gone on with "christians” from politics/idolatry to false teachers to false prophets, I don’t recall you making any threads about ANY of those people most who were/are VERY public but now you have "discernment” for Kayne? You can’t use GOSSIP as your source and then call it "discernment”. I’m sorry but that is a bastardization of "discernment”. You say you care about Kayne but you made a thread based on GOSSIP about him. It doesn’t add up for me.
One of the "practical” ways I knew I could trust the Lord is because not only can He not lie, He doesn’t lie about His people ”“ any of them. Everything is laid bare from Genesis to Revelation. God is not partial. He doesn’t do this thing of talking about this one over here and not that one over there. He also doesn’t make excuses for any of them. It is what it is. So for me this is a part of God’s Integrity, Righteousness, and rightness that I look for in Christians who are reporting on others who say they’re Christians. How just can your judgment be when you’ve utilized GOSSIP to make that judgment?
Had you consistently had threads pointing other Christians out that you felt were "false converts”, then I could have respected your "Kayne thread” because I would have known this is what you do but I didn’t see that. So as it stands for me the thread is GOSSIP.
Years ago there was a "scandal” in the church world. It wasn’t just all over the internet but it was all over the news including local news. People were saying all kinds of stuff including mocking the individuals involved. Well in real life, I never talked about the "scandal” nor did I ever go on line and say anything about it. Nope I didn’t do any of that but let me tell you what I did do. One evening I was thinking about the "scandal” and I MOCKED in my heart one of the individuals involved. Immediately and I do mean on "lightening tap” the Holy Spirit sharply rebuked me. What I had done was very serious to the Lord and God wasn’t playing with me. I repented as quick as I could and meant it.
That was a life changing moment for me. I can truly say as of that moment that behavior was/is no longer a part of my life. In that moment God let me know He’s the only only one who sees things in totality and just like I was looking at that person, God was looking at me. I don’t see that being any different now with Kayne, yourself, and some of the others who posted in that thread.
That’s why PRAYER is still the order of the day because we only see things in part and usually a very small part at that. There's only one problem. You can't pray when you're gossiping. In part that's why GOSSIP is so dangerous because it can and will spiritually cut you off at the knees.
Now I do believe that there are times when the Church has to be warned but in that I do believe that God’s Integrity will always be present. The sources or "proofs” will also be of integrity and not manufactured. As well as those doing the reporting will also be of integrity, having their own house in order.
Like I said, I’m only speaking for myself and this is where I stand on the matter.
That’s a great reminder Jasmine. I am prone to do a lot of judging when I see folks on media I disagree with. Sometimes it’s just internal but sometimes I voice it- generally in the presence of my wife.
One of my favorite quotes is from Oswald Chambers on the subject of judging:
"Jesus' instructions with regard to judging others is very simply put; He says, 'Don't.' Stop having a measuring stick for other people. There is always at least one more fact, which we know nothing about, in every person's situation. If I see a speck in your eye, it means that I have a plank of timber in my own. I have never met a person I could despair of, or lose all hope for, after discerning what lies in me apart from the grace of God."
This is so hard to put into practice. It is easier to judge than to intercede.
And yes, yes, I know we have to make judgments as to correct doctrine and not allowing ourselves to be led down the wrong path. But that is not what Chambers is talking about.

I don’t have the words to fully describe the FEAR OF GOD I experienced when the Holy Spirit sharply rebuked me. It was absolutely frightening and painful. I couldn’t repent fast enough. The thing that blew me away though was the fact that I hadn’t said anything to anybody. I don’t even remember what it was that I said. All I know is that I was just talking in my HEART but that’s not how God saw it. In circumspect I do believe God saw the sin of PRIDE and SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS for what they were. In seeing this God didn’t only immediately put a stop to it. He swiftly put it to death. There was no time to think or pause, just to repent. That’s how quick it all happened.
Now I know I’m not more than anybody else but apparently this was the action the Lord felt best for me and it worked. Just writing about it takes me back. There have only been maybe three times in my life where I have felt the FEAR OF GOD and I can truly say this was one of them. It is not a game and it is not a joke. One of the things people don't think about when they're gossiping is, "just who is being exposed here?". God’s word is always right and true. It is the small foxes that spoil the vine.
It’s scary to me how there are some Christians out here acting like they can say anything they want to about anybody whether it be in their heart, verbally, or through their fingertips as if there are no consequences for their actions but that’s not true. There are always consequences...always and many times those consequences not only affect us but others. Those around us and others may not even understand what's going on but we’ll know. No presence of the Lord, no anointing, deception, no fear of God, abscence of God's character and integrity, no godly reputation (nobody trust your words), no revelations of God in the Word, no peace, no real prayer life, a form of godliness/no godly power, etc. Oh yeah consequences are real.
I want to encourage you to talk to the Lord any and every time you feel the "temptation” to talk about, rant, judge, etc. others. Please talk to the Lord right then and there about what it is you’re feeling. He will answer. Also please consider your wife and the unnecessary burden you may be giving her when you speak the things you do.
Over the years I’ve told the Lord how I didn’t like certain people. Some I knew personally and some I didn’t. I don’t know that God changed those people. What I do know is in talking with Him about them, the conversation turned to me! Apparently I had a whole lot of crooked ways that needed to be made straight. I may not know everything but I do know when we’re working out our own Salvation with fear and trembling in the Lord, it leaves very little room if any to go meddling in the affairs of others. Not to mention saying nasty things about others. I don't know that to be in alignment with the Godhead. I don't believe it is.
The Holy Spirit is still the Spirit of Truth. He is the one who leads and guides us into all Truth. If He's not doing the leading and guiding then who is and what is the fruit?

This is very relatable for me as well as; " It is not a game and it is not a joke."
Once when Holy Spirit convicted me about the same thing, it occurred to me that perhaps I was supposed to pray for that person as intentionally as I had sought to vent my frustrations about them... it really has been an effective practice in renewing my mind to the truth. The Lord said, "be angry, but don’t sin” so the anger isn’t the problem as their is a righteous indignation it’s what we use it to do that’s the problem, and what we say comes out of the abundance of our hearts. That’s one reason we aren’t to let the sun go down on our anger,... so that it doesn’t take root and start producing fruit.
bbn is great!! It’s my main station - Adrian Rogers in the morning, prayer requests at lunch, sometimes I catch Alexander Scourby’s readings after lunch and other times I catch Vernon Mcgee and occasionally some hymns. It really is a refreshing ministry ðŸ™ðŸ»

I said to Nigel what I had to say. The fact that you (and maybe others) don’t like it and disagree with it is fine by me. I knew before I made my post(s) that would be a possibility. So I’m not surprised by your response/opinion. You (and others) can go ahead and have at it. Say what you will. I stand by my post, every single word and Nigel is free to respond if he so desires.
