In waking up to bombs going off in the morning, hearing jets fly overhead by day, and contemplating what could happen this evening, we recall verses like this--and many others--that comfort us in the present situation.

1000's are leaving the country. Fuel for cars is quickly disappearing. Long lines are appearing at stores.

We are told to be out of our buildings from 7-10:00 PM tonight as bombing may occur.

We are deeply touched as we read your expressions of love and concern in the past 12 hours.

- Father God, we also thank You for the opportunity to intercede directly for these dear brothers and sisters who are in Ukraine now. We thank You, too, for arranging this special, two-hour call tonight, so we can do that very thing.

I find it strange and sad that Ukraine is made to stand alone. But, I am asking the Lord to help them. If He does, they won't need anyone else!

It is very sad that Ukraine is standing alone, and if we would have given Ukraine what they needed, then Putin would have paid a heavy price.

Putin saw the weakness of the Biden administration in withdrawing of Afghanistan, and he believed that taking the Ukraine would not be difficult. Do we think that Putin will stop at the Ukraine? "Wars and rumors of wars.”

But I believe "all governments are ordained by God."Romans 13:1 So I'm 100% with God.

But the hardest thing i find was when Western nations who had the Gospel and sent out missionaries also sent their troops to countries that Fletcher already mentioned. America has never been attacked by another nation. And people say 'God bless America.'

I have no idea who you are talking about, JFW. I have brothers and sisters in Ukraine who don't want this to happen. Don't know of any who want this. Even so, I don't develop policies, theology, or any of my beliefs based on what my opponents believe.

And personally, I don't really care what anyone espouses nor do I use whatever someone else is saying to determine whether or not God is on my side. I take the biblical stance: am I on the Lord's side? I love His Word, I have His Spirit, and He is sanctifying me. I don't really care if Kim Jong-Un and I see eye-to-eye on something. That isn't how I develop my beliefs. I develop them based upon Scripture.

So, I will continue to pray about this, because people (civilians) are being murdered while the whole world stands by and watches.

But know this: this is a volatile situation with hundreds of years of history behind it. There is a spectrum of wrong on both sides, but caught in the middle of it are my beloved brethren. I hurt for them. So I will keep praying.

While the tragedy of collateral damage and loss of innocent life is inevitable in a situation like this, it is also true that there was already collateral damage and loss of innocent life due to the rise of child/human trafficking and lawlessness that was/is abounding...
(For me) the loss of life due to criminal corruption vs the loss of life attempting to rectify is different and (from my reading) the scriptures clearly mark this out in numerous stories regarding Gods plan for the seed of Abraham.

When I look at the current and recent events around the world, it’s very easy to "read them” through a biblical event lens and less through an emotional one and that really helps in my prayer life to have a fervent zeal for what I believe God has and is presently doing upon the earth💯

Fletcher, I don't listen to much news at all, "never really have" but of course I do pay some mind to a war going on. If you could lead me to a link, or elaborate some on how this is a betterment for the Ukrainian people, I would appreciate it, to give me a better understanding of this war.

Trump did not support Putin. He said that the political/military stategy that Putin employed was genius and that it showed Putin was savvy. That is true. Putin is very clever. He successfully surrounded the entire country of Ukraine while convincing the world he wasn't going to invade. He declared the Eastern Provinces independent and is not cloaking his intentions by fighting to keep the "peace" there in those newly-declared independent regions.

But the man is evil. Trump admires his gusto and tenacity, but only in the sense that he has those qualities. He does not approve of what he is doing at all; Trump said that very thing.

If you were playing chess, you could admire your opponents stategy and maneuvers without agreeing that what he did was correct. The same is true in this arena. Putin is clever. He's evil, but clever.
