"If You Want to Hear What God Is Saying to His People”
By William R. Kimball
If you want to find out what is really happening with God’s people, don’t bother looking to church "happenings”. You won’t find the answer in churchanity. If you want to hear what the Spirit of God is really saying to His people, don’t listen to the voices of men. The political pundits, social crusaders and moral activists don’t have the answer either. The answer is not found in political correctness, cultural correctness or religious correctness.
The real answers are not to be found among the many fleeting church fads which blow in, blow up and blow out. You won’t find it in the latest church conference, Christian rock festival or "must attend” seminar. Pretty-boy preachers, hip-hop pastors, social media influencers and Christian entertainers don’t have it. They will not be found between the pages of the current bestseller. Pastors of huge churches don’t have the answer and neither does the current crop of church celebrities, televangelists or big-name preachers.
The self-appointed apostles and prophets of sensational movements are clueless about what God is really saying ”“ they’re too busy believing their own press-releases, bombastic claims and self-congratulations. Cutting-edge innovators, church growth strategists and emotionally pumped ministries don’t have it. Most assuredly, you won’t find it in a Christian bookstore among the "How-to” books, end-time charts or "Precious Moments” kitsch. You won’t find it in NAR, "Word of Faith” or "The Jesus Culture”. Rick Warren doesn’t have the answer and neither does, Joel Osteen, Peter Wagner, Bill Johnson or multitudes of other big-name preachers.
You can make a pilgrimage to Bethel, Redding, Kansas City, Brownsville, Toronto, Ft. Lauderdale, a cave in Tibet or any other religious meccas, church gurus or mega churches but you won’t find the answers there either.
What’s more, you won’t find the answers form church gossip, the church grapevine or the church rumor-mills. Denominational bulletins, Christian magazines or the CBN doesn’t have it either.
Yes, as Paul noted, there are many voices in the world but theirs is a confused cacophony of discordant notes and clashing cymbals.
His "still small voice” is where the answers are found and, if you have ears to hear, you can hear His voice wherever you are.

I totally agree. The following is my response to the above.
Jeremiah provides the acid test for all true prophets. There is not one single prophet that is an exception to this. They all are validated by one simple verse.
Jer 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
Jer 23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
This text is parallel to 2 Ch 7:14 and of course just about every where you look. When YEHOVAH is speaking, and someone is listening, HE WILL MENTION THIS TURNING. It's called REPENTANCE. You turn from sin and turn to HOLINESS.
It is so simple, yet all these listed above by Bro Kimball above, have MISSED IT. Why? Because the is no money or self bloating in it. We must abandon the lifestyle that the above promote and take up our CROSS (death to sin and self( and abandon all worldliness. Deny self. Follow HIM. Do you have a clue of what that is like? Where HE is? Where HE is going? No? Then how, pray tell, are you ever going to follow HIM. HE said that the work HE sees HIS FATHER do, that HE does also. What kind of work is that?
Read Isaiah 58 and Matthew 25:31-46. Then read Romans 12. All of it. Come back and tell us what the LORD has revealed when you read through these texts. Is it anything at all like what these hucksters above are babbling? - Lahry Sibley
