NEW front page design

If you have not noticed there is a new front page re-design that was implimented on July 25/05. I am very excited about alot of new ideas and vision the Lord is giving me for this ministry. The re-design incorporates alot of old ideas and new. There is nothing that drastically different then what has ever existed before. Some new features are "random photo" this displays a random photo out of the 1000+ old vintage photos on the site. Also there are "Featured Discussions" which will feature some discussions from the forums so there will be more viewership of those chosen articles and discussion.A great feature that I think was necessary to impliment is the Newsletter add/remove form that is found in the middle of the homepage. This enables people to easily add and update their emails for the email newsletter! There are going to be alot more changes to SermonIndex coming soon so stay tuned to the site.. If you have any comments or suggestions I would love to hear them.

Loving this look! Its less crowded and chaotic then the last one!Don't really have any suggestions at the time, keep up the good work. :-)

Thanks for all the great comments. I do like the feel, it does seem more simplistic yet still has alot of information and links to offer. I am still open to suggestions.

Along with everyone else, I love the new look! I can tell you put much time into it. I love the new SI Newsletter subscription form in the middle of the page, I think, the best! I also like the Random Photo. That's cool. It's brilliant! It's great to see what God's inspiring you with. I hope visitors to SI will continue to get blessed. Keep up the good work!

Wow! I just took a look - is the "Featured Discussions" section new?! [laughs] I was just looking for your Hell and Everlasting Punishment article, and there it is! Ummm... I don't know. It looks pretty good to me. If an idea or suggestion comes to mind, I'll come back and post it.

I like the new look, but I still haven't found the link to the mp3 sermons. That used to be a big link, central and easy to spot - now I have searched the page and while I can link to the featured sermon easily enough, I havn't found a link to the MP3 area.I haven't combed the page with a fine toothed comb yet, but since many come to the site to download sermons, perhaps that link should be a little more overstated? Just my thoughts - I do like the new look.Dan/\\/\\/\\

Yes I am re-vamping alot of the site towards that ideal also. On the left menu it will be much clearer on how to search and find sermons by links such as:Sermon by SpeakerSermon by ScriptureSermon by TopicThese 3 options will replace the "downloads" link on the left hand menu. I will also be adding some more images that will direct people to the audio sermon section. Thanks and keep the ideas coming.

You've taken out the link to 'backgrounds' (wallpaper) and a few others. Where do we find those places now?-Eli

In the SermonIndex Promotion section there is a "pinned" topic for the wallpapers:https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=15&351If you look in some of the forum sections there are pinned topics that have this image:Most of those have special content that I am desiring to feature and have people read more. I hope that helps. I am in the process of continuing to change the frontpage and add more of an easy navigation to the sermon and other parts of the site. There are also many other changes coming so stay tuned.
