I am just interested to test peoples bible knowledge , how many verses mention either indirectly or directly a one world government?

Zero but they get the idea from Rev 13:7.
We can all focus on apostacy, love growing cold, detecting heresy, antichrist, one world government and the like. While this is all true, and overt focus on these things give us a bleak outlook on the future. I have been there and it robbed me of hope and joy and dampened my witness for Christ.
Isn't it better to focus on Christ, the kingdom of God in righteousness, the blessed hope of his return, and our glorious promises soon to be materialized?

True. But it is also comforting to know that this is the reality when one sees civilization being systematically dismantled by normalizing sin/perversion, falling into chaos thus becoming ripe for a leader to bring order out of chaos. All these things have been prophesied to encourage the saints to not give up hope...actually, I think it is essential because people need to experience their securities as fragile and temporal.
Sandra
Sister Sandra, I couldn’t agree more and it indeed appears that is exactly what is/will happen as the veil is lifted -
Incidentally "if” the same metric metric was applied to fundamental doctrines its would prove catastrophic ie; trinity (just as an example) also doesn’t appear as a single verse as it were but is obviously implied yet many reject it.... so too will the foolish reject the obvious implication of a consolidation of evil resulting in a unification of previously competing groups under the covering of a world order.
If anyone would like to know/understand "how” this will be implemented, a bit of time reading the work of Noah Harari (WEF) will provide a jump point tho is not in itself the whole of it -
In any case, our Father knows how to keep those whom belong to Himâœï¸
"...so too will the foolish reject the obvious implication of a consolidation of evil resulting in a unification of previously competing groups under the covering of a world order."
Firstly, we're not foolish virgins. We've got our lamps filled with the oil which is required.
Secondly, we reject it because there's no such implication in Scripture of that which you speak. A unification under the covering of a world order is not prophesied for our future.
Surely, the wicked will be wicked still, and unregenerate men will continue to be at war with God. They'll continue loving the darkness and hating the light because their deeds are evil. That's a given.
The only two kingdoms are the kingdoms of this world and the Kingdom of His dear Son. The kingdoms of this world are manifold. But never will they unify.
If it were prophesied I'd believe that by God's miraculous power He'd bring it to pass. But since it's not, it simply won't be.
Time will show the errors of such notions of the many flaws in this unbiblical hermeneutic. Unless one be enlightened by the Holy Spirit as it is He alone Who reveals Truth. It will be the one or the other. But surely, it will be revealed.
well apparently your bible says something different from mine... 🤷🽔♂ï¸
Again, the word trinity also doesn’t appear as a singular verse that can be pointed to as definitive yet the counsel of the word reveals it-
Likewise a "unification” of evil is equally implied even tho it’s short lived -
Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not visible to many
Genesis 11:1-9 - 1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
In the previous chapter you see Nimrod a type of antichrist (also the sixth person on the list of Cush's descendants listed in that chapter):
Genesis 10:8-10 - 8And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 - 9The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
There's but one God, one Bible, and one Truth.
Apparently you've got a Bible verse or two that you have in mind when you say that this unification is short lived.
I'd go on record as saying that there's certainly a unification of evil. All unbelievers are one in the same enemies of God and at war with Him. How that works out in each of their lives is in a diversity of different ways.
They all agree on this one thing for sure, "We will not have this Man to rule over us."
Unregenerate men all have this one thing in common. And since they're as Jesus said they are, like their father the devil, they'll not have mere men ruling over them. The devil refused God's rule and wanted to be his own ruler, so this nature has been passed on to his children. Some to a greater, others to a lesser degree. Yet they're all unwilling to bow down to another as they fight for their autonomy.
I wonder if you've got a timeline for this taking place. In our lifetime...5,10,20 years maybe. But this one thing is for sure, time is on my side not the purveyors of some one world government.
The glasses I've got, I got from the Holy Spirit. I can see clearly now the rain is gone!
Some just need to trade in their old glasses for some new ones that God freely gives to His children. If they'd but ask Him.
As for me and my house we'll just continue preaching the Gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. I'll leave the one world government fears to the social media-ites, journalists, news reporters, and political activists.
As christians we're ambassadors and pilgrims in this world. May we proclaim the praises of Him Who has called us out of the kingdom darkness and into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
Let's go forward with His Kingdom work under His banner. Amen.
Joshua 9:1-2 - 1And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof; 2That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.
Cross reference -
Revelation 16:13-14 - 13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Psalm 2:2-4 - 2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Joshua 11:1-5 - 1And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, 2And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west, 3And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh. 4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many. 5And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
Psalm 83 -
1{A Song or Psalm of Asaph.} Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
11Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
17Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
2 Chronicles 20:1-13 -
1It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. 2Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. 3And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.
Jehoshaphat's Prayer
5And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court, 6And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? 7Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever? 8And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying, 9If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. 10And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not; 11Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. 12O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. 13And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
Thanks Platy.
Those are some inspiring historical truths from the Mouth of God testifying of His Faithfulness to His people.
Thanks again
And also it shows how differing kingdoms can come together and unite against God and his people throughout the history of the bible. Its the same thing happening today. The current flow is moving towards unity against God and his people.
"The current flow is moving towards unity against God and his people."
I'll say it again, all unregenerate men are already and always have been in unity against God and His people.
But this New World Order/Government doctrine being pushed is something altogether different.
The leaders of the almost 200 countries in the world won't unite in the sense that the purveyors of this doctrine promote.
Don't wait for it to happen because it'll never be. Save this thread in your archives and come back to it now and again. It'll prove that this doctrine has as much merit as salvation by the works of the law.
Let God be true and every man a liar. Amen.
Savannah,
You wrote,”I'd go on record as saying that there's certainly a unification of evil. All unbelievers are one in the same enemies of God and at war with Him. How that works out in each of their lives is in a diversity of different ways.”
We see the same thing and the same spirit bears witness in our spirit âœï¸
And I wholeheartedly agree with most every thing you wrote in the entire response, again the same spirit bears witness and we are of one body, one spirit, and one head - Christ ðŸ™ðŸ»
We all are partakers of Gods grace, yet He chose to appoint times and seasons, likewise He reveals His Son to whom He will and with this revelation He calls, and with this calling He equips, and with this equipment we each serve Him in the capacity He chose.
As such, we each have a specific position in the body and with that comes a specific perspective. We should be more willing to consider the proclamations of our fellow members.... to search out a thing - testing every word by the spirit and every spirit by the word. This is the way to maintain unity within the body.
When a brother or sister asks a question or makes a definitive statement, a confession or request, we should treat each with the same consideration that we would hope for. This is not unreasonable among the un-regenerate, how much more common should it be among us ?
In saying this I very much am blessed by your firm yet even handed response as engaging you in such a way requires faith on my part as I have no other desire than for the truth to be revealed for all who will, to see
You asked " I wonder if you've got a timeline for this taking place. In our lifetime...5,10,20 years maybe. But this one thing is for sure, time is on my side not the purveyors of some one world government.”
Yes as it’s been happening for 2000 yrs... in saying this, it’s not that satan is patient, he is not, however he has no other choice so in that sense he is determinedly desperate....
Having said this, the openly talked about public timeframe is 2030 tho recent events have offered unique opportunity to move up the timeline,.. so in their view (publicly stated) only few years now.
It hasn’t surprised me that they’ve moved so quickly over the past few years, but it has been disappointing to see so many go along with it without even really questioning it.
But God is still working, and His hand is not shortened and as the world gets darker, His word shines ever brighter and we are ambassadors of His kingdom and if we don’t demonstrate His love to a deprived and crooked generation, who will 🤷🽔♂ï¸
