LORD, for Jesus Christ's sake,
Look down upon my soul:
Clean and pure my life make;
My broken heart make whole!

God dear, look not on me,
Save by the lense of Christ,
Else thou seest a dirty feist ----
For thou art of infinite purity!

Lord, for the sake of Jesus,
Turn thou to me for a father,
Shepherd, friend, and brother,
Life, end and a holy byssus!

Will mine be the city above?
Will the pearly gate open to me,
When body and soul disagree?
