I don’t know which 1,000 pastors this group surveyed, but the results are concerning. 39% of "evangelical” pastors they asked said there is no absolute moral truth & that "each individual must determine their own truth.” What a lie.

The survey also said that 30% of evangelical pastors do not believe that their salvation is based on having confessed their sins & accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior. This kind of false teaching is what is leading people & churches astray.

"A new study from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University has found that just 37% of Christian pastors in the United States have a biblical worldview, demonstrating that spiritual awakening is "needed just as desperately in our pulpits as in the pews," according to the pollster.

The nationwide study of about 1,000 Christian pastors found that just slightly more than a third (37%) of the U.S. pastors hold a biblical worldview. The majority (62%) possess a hybrid worldview known as Syncretism.

The study, released Thursday, showed that 41% of senior pastors ”” as compared to 28% of associate pastors ”” have a biblical worldview. Further, only 13% of teaching pastors and 12% of children's and youth pastors have a biblical worldview.”

We thank God for every pastor that is preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and sound doctrine. Every believer has the responsibility to study the scriptures, and to hear and obey the Word of God. A Church should not be judged by it’s size, by it’s programs, or even by the skill and eloquence of the preacher. The bottom line is this: Is the presence of Jesus there? Are the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles being emphasized? Is the emphasis of the church on discipleship and spiritual growth? Is individual and corporate prayer a main priority?

I honestly believe one of the reasons is "seeker sensitive" churches but that came from from somewhere! Like leaders not being on fire for Christ and choosing a have a big congregation over teaching "a few people HIS ways."

The new term today is "Attractional" and google says, "attractional is not a style. It's a paradigm. An attractional church conducts worship and ministry according to the desires and values of potential consumers. Also, I met a man years ago that went to college to become a Lutheran pastor and was making six figures (in Tennessee) and lo and behold, got saved about 5 years into it and his preaching changed. The board told him if he didn't step down, they would vote him out. He stepped down.

It's many things but boils down to never being born again or growing cold.
