Oh, for rooms many and large,
Be planted in me for all!
Oh to see all as my holy charge ---
Indebted to all, as was Paul!

Eyes to my interests alone;
Minding only my safety and joy:
This self, pluck from the throne ---
Raise thy cross to self annoy!

A tender heart that weep
And mourn with the ailing,
Fix thou in me so deep,
Abiding ever a-sorrowing!

Now hence, a servant, I'll be:
Careful to care and serve;
Giving aids to all full and free,
As the sky allow me to have!

Give me, that I might give;
Open to me thy full store:
I shall for others then live;
Living bounties behind and before!
