TEXT:'The son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.'
This is the crux of all commendable, acceptable and recognisable living. Its effect is exclusive and final. All other callings and vocations in life are mere background noise. Every undertaking, if it must count, must be subservient to this. Nothing is worth doing or having, if it does not tend toward this grand centre! It is a magnetic field; by it all things are held together. It must define and design our locations, tastes, and friends. I speak to those 'who have flee for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us.' yes, even those whose native reason for living is to see to it that the 'Kingdom of this world becomes the Kingdom of God and of His Christ'. To seek and to save, not gold nor silver, but that which is lost-the souls of men. That is the meat of our thought here! 'Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men!' Suspect your following (be afraid of such) if you are not BECOMING THE FISHERS OF ME!
