TEXT: PSALM 90:12
''So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.''
None is as wise as he who sits at the feet of Jesus! Whoever hits the mark in life and eternity as he who is taught of God? To every man born of a woman, there is a mark toward which he must run: if this mark is not discovered to him, he remains a fool and clueless. No man is called to do everything! It concerns all therefore, to petition God for the end for which they are created,--this is the safest wisdom. Abiding at the feet of our teacher, and learning constantly of His will for us, keep our vision clear and defined. Note must be taken that, we apply our hearts to what He teaches; God is ever ready to teach His own: His own should therefore be willing to practice what is taught. Martha disquieted herself about many things, but her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet for instruction; she was therefore commended for choosing the only one needful thing. Friends, would thou ever keep the vision plane before thee? please, abide at His feet, and let your whole being be taking up by Him. The instruction that would make you count for time and eternity, is with Him! He gropes in the dark, who is a stranger to the voice of God. The great matter of our souls can only be learnt in the School of Christ.
