What do I do when my church discourages me for wanting to rent a building to host prayer meetings to pray until Gods power falls heavy. They only have prayer meetings once a year. I want to run prayer meetings as a lifestyle give my life to to this. They tell me its not gonna happen God will not send revival? What should I do?
Why do you need to rent a building to pray?
To pray corporately and everyone I know doesn't have time.
Dear brother,
Thankful for your heart for the Lord. Follow His leading. Rent something by faith. Ask God to bring people to lead worship and prayer with you. God can do mighty things. His revival is so needed and by faith I believe is spreading across the earth. We could be on the cusp of a great awakening. Seek the Lord while He can be found.
He loves those who search for Him with honesty. As He is looking for those also with honesty in their hearts seeking Him.
"Lord, you are searching for honesty." (Jeremiah 5:3 NLT)
Part of honesty is admitting we have sinned. We have rebelled, we have sought other pleasures then taking pleasure in God's ways.
Simple solution. Start one in your home with a few or in someone else’s home. Don’t need permission. Not sure about renting a big space in faith unless God has spoken. Otherwise you are testing Him.
I have roommates in my apartment and they are not christians. I was going to rent a small building. I have a fire in me for revival. I want God to pour out the Holy Ghost.
Pray by yourself...then find a brother to pray with you...then more brothers. Trust God for a location. Maybe a brother has a home that you can meet in. Simply start praying and see where God takes it.
