Copyright 2005About The Author:Sheree Murphy lives with her husband and 3 dogs. She believes that each day is a gift to be usedfor God's glory. Some days she fails miserably, but God isn't finished with her yet. See Philippians 1:6."His pleasure is not in the strength ofthe horse, nor His delight in the legs ofa man; the LORD delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love." (Psalm 147:10-11 NIV)After I accepted Jesus into my heart, itstill took me a while to realize that Goddoesn't need or want my help. There isno problem too big nor too small for Him to handle. Nothing is impossible for God.All He asks of us, is that we be faithful. We don't have to strive or stress thatour performance is adequate. He uses theweak things of the world to reveal His glory.Isaiah 43:29-31NIV, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew theirstrength, they will soar on wings likeeagles; they will run and not growweary, they will walk and not faint." Recently my symptoms changed and increased. Pain and lack of sleep had left me feelinguseless and defeated. These verses werea great reminder for me. My strength, power and hope come from Him and not frommyself. I may feel inadequate, but He will make me adequate for anything that He setsbefore me. The key is to do what He wills, not what I have planned. My house is not spotless and many things are left undone. But through it, He is teaching me to takemy eyes off of my surroundings and circumstances and to focus solely on Him. He delights in me, not in what I can accomplish.God has our best interests at heart. He knows when we need to rest and when we are ready to move forward. He is delighted when we trust Him. When we are willing to rest in His unfailing love for us. When we have child-like faith and look at Him with awe and wonder and give Him the respect and reverence that He deserves.
