"Re-newing” Your Mind:
Line upon line,
precept upon precept,
phrase by phrase
Example:
I took a Scripture from the Epistles telling me who I am and what I have IN CHRIST and
would break it up into phrases.
Then I would define the words in the phrases and
change the pronouns to fit me personally.
Slowly, slowly I worked my way through a verse -
attending,
'hearing',
keeping it before my eyes
and in my 'center' being.
I love God's Word - I study that way.
Not to get the benefit that it promises necessarily, but just to KNOW HIM. His Mind, His Ways, His Nature, His Character.
Here is an example taken from Acts 10:38:
God anointed Jesus of Nazarath (stop & think about the anointing; anointing for what, why/how does the anointing relate to my life?)
With the Holy Spirit - (Who is the Holy Spirit; how does He relate to my healing; who has He healed in the past; what part does He perform in the creative/restorative work?)
And with power (power for what; how much power; when is it available; is it available for me?)
Who (Jesus) went about doing good (good, hmmmmm. Did Jesus ever do bad to people? Did he ever refuse to heal or set free anyone who came to him? What kind of Jesus do I see in the Gospels?)
And healing all (all....what does that word mean and how does it relate to me? Healing: what kinds and who? Rich - poor - political people - educated - uneducated, etc? Does 'all' include me 2,000 years later?)
That were oppressed - another word to look up and ask: If sickness (or whatever your issue may be) is oppression, then it is on me and it isn't a part of God's plan for me, etc. It isn't in 'me' - I AM a spirit. This isn't oppressing my spirit. It is oppressing or 'on' my mind, will emotions, body that I live in, etc.
of the Devil....(now you are getting down to who you are dealing with behind the oppression. This will help you focus your faith in the spiritual realm where the problem lies.)
Here is an example from Ephesians 1:3 (I also looked up various versions on this)
Blessed with every spiritual blessing…..Ephesians 1:3
What does it mean to be spiritually blessed? This describes a believer as being in an enviable position for receiving God's provisions
Every spiritual blessing refers to all the conceivable gifts of redemption that Christians receive by being united with Jesus Christ.
The realm or scope of these gifts is "in Christ.”
Paul goes on to outline "every spiritual blessing.” First, we have God’s gift of being chosen and predestined "for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1:4”“5
Next, Paul features the gift of God’s "glorious grace” that He has "poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Keep it simple -
you can find a few definitions for each word,
think over what Jesus did in the Gospels, which you are already familiar with and reason through this verse phrase by phrase so your mind will get re-educated to Truth and will start thinking thoughts that will work and help you have healing & health.
Help yourself by helping your mind be renewed.
Just take a verse and begin by breaking it up in phrases like you see above.
That alone will 'wake up' your mind and bring you a lot of joy!
