Tucker Carlson, Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro

I often listen to the few voices left that defend and uphold conservative Christian values. They are brilliant minds and manage to dismantle the toxic narrative of the political left, yet their opponents seem to be immune against reason and the silent majority is to afraid to take a stand for what is right and true.

They rely on their power of reasoning, draw on their education and charismatic personality to comment on political issues and are some of last public media beacons of lights in an ever-darker society. They gain a large following and can take home a very handsome compensation for their work.
We must note that they defend the blessing of Christian values that are just the side benefits a nation can enjoy when the people and leadership turn to God. They are still looking on the outside of problems yet cannot penetrate to the core of a evil in this world, which is sin.

This is the domain of the gospel preacher. Even if we had hundreds of Tucker Carlsons, Jordan Petersons or Ben Shapiros they would not change anything. Even if you had a republican president with majority in both houses, and a secure majority of conservative judges would not turn your nation around. Even if you had abortion banned and the LGBTQA+(what will be the next letter?) power restrained your borders secured and drugs and homelessness under control, still sin is out and about and will find ways to corrupt everything God created for good.
As inspiring and uplifting these men are, to my knowledge, none of them is born again. None of them comes even close to the truth of the gospel when presented under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It only needs preacher who is wholeheartedly committed to God. He does not need courage, rhetoric, or eloquence. He does not need to be theologically astute. Faith and obedience paired with godliness is more than sufficient.
All the blessings and benefits will come back when the truth of the Gospel is again preached in the churches and highways and byways.

Where are the Finneys, Edwards and Moodys of today? Who is praying?

Hi Narrowpath,
I feel that If God wants to put these non Christians in a place of influence then it must be his will and purpose to do so.In my opinion the people "Who were Praying" were the ones who got rid of Abortion at a federal level which is one of the best things that has happened in decades and I personally applaud the effort it took by many Christians to get this done and over the line by praying in people in the right positions to do so no matter what their political persuasion was.
The Finneys,Edwards and Moodys of today were praying and preaching against the sin of Abortion for decades and pointing towards the saviour at all times.
I cant knock Carlson,Petersen nor Shapiro for debunking the lies of our times and I wont knock Christians who give credit where credit is due.

I have personally heard all the main tenets been preached Sin and its consequences,Atonement by a wonderful saviour ,the Trinity and Grace among others.
Its not Tucker,Jordan or Ben's fault if the gospel isnt going to the hyways and byways. Our faith is not in these men but in Christ and neither is our faith in Finney,Moody or Edwards but in Christ and his plan.
I think we need more than faith ,obedience and godliness ,we need to be Spirit Filled.
Like you however I do agree that we are not being successful but not because we are looking towards the wrong people,

p.s I think Jordan Petersen has had a genuine experience with God but I could be wrong

NP,

Yes sin is still the problem but why…?
Like you, I find there are times when the people you listed are aligned with causes that reflect a common concern, yet not a one of them really see much less function in the kingdom. They, like so many even in the church, are still bound by the habit of feeding on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As such they simply lack the vision of eternal life in Christ.
Jordan Peterson in particular seems to have had a crisis that led to him opening to the idea yet when we listen to him, he often characterizes the issues in a paradigm of "good & bad” whereas we know it is life & death.
This tendency to remain in the wilderness is, in my understanding, due to the fact that we can sit on the throne and decide through reason what is good or evil and this gives us a sense of propriety regarding our own ability in that we can manage or control these things, yet as touching eternal things (resurrection, salvation, etc..) we are wholly incapable and must humble ourselves and submit to the one who commands these things.

All too often today we hear messages that are tailored to address sin, yet are squarely within the world and not touching the kingdom in that they seek to address these issues by management and not deliverance.
Each of the preachers you listed, preached repentance and obedience…. this, I agree, is sorely missing in our world today. Yet again, this message will come at the revelation of His kingdom as distinct from this present world, which itself and everything in it is being exposed as fake and impotent regarding a remedy that isn’t dependent on our ability to control.
At this point, we find a world and even a church who are ignorant of the kingdom and as such can only do business with the world,… not knowing how to trade with Heaven.
