God Honored David

Recently I was thinking about how much God has honored David. That Jesus would be called the "Son of David," sit on "David's" throne, and that God would call him a man after His own heart, who did all His will. Besides Jesus, I think it's clear that David is the most honored of all men in the Bible. Does anybody think otherwise? Also, I know that Elizabeth (mother of John the Baptist) was a relative of Mary. Was she decended from David as well?

David was honored...But how do you measure the honor of a man? Look at John the Baptist. Jesus said that no man was greater than he was.I guess it comes to, how do you measure it? This life? The next? I do believe that there will be rewards for our actions in this life. Guess we'll have to wait and see...Grace and Peace...

man after His own heartMost interpret this to mean that God and David have the same type of heart. I believe it means that David was in pursuit of God. God would never commit adultery or kill.
