Living in the fulness of God

B
brothagary Jun 20, 2023

Though not popular one of the means of grace used by God to kill the old man is suffering, He sanctifies through 2 flames, Both require a decision and yielding on our part. The carrying of the cross is a willingness to walk towards the experience of crucifixion. And it is there upon the altar of the cross that the second fire will come down from heaven in a baptism of fire, and burn out the fleshly nature only then will we truly experience the resurrected life, leading to the ascended life. This is the destiny of the end-time Bride of Christ ( To the perfect man to the measure of the stature of the Fullness of Christ) Eph 4:13
20:18
The challenging thing about the death of the old man or the death of the deeds of the body as Paul said
is it must be done through the spirit. Paul said if you by the Spirit do put to death the deeds of the body. On our journey, we Tend to have some sin put to death through the spirit's power to sanctify us but then on the other hand the deep-rooted inner Sins and character flaws tend to be harder to put to death. The blood of Christ through the spirit seems to deal with cigarettes and alcohol and fornication and adultery and stealing and things like that, these outer more obvious sins tend to get put off in some cases or just restrained under the power of the flesh, but then we have sins like judgment, shyness, unbelief in certain teachings of the scripture, and just unbelief in general, Pride and other sins can be a challenge. I found two major sins or blockages that stop a person from growing in sanctification and holiness through the dying of the old nature. One is (judgment), false judgment a sin that is embedded in our flesh, the result of that sin is not being able to love our enemies and even love our brothers in Christ the way we are called to love. It seems to make it impossible to express the spirit of love through our bodies, I believe false judgment is the most important sin to deal with Jesus definitely taught about it and so did the apostles but we often times brush over it thinking that we are not judging anyone but in reality, we could be judging millions or thousands of people and not loving quite a big proportion of the human race. And the other sin is the sin of unbelief, in which we doubt and do not believe that the blood of Christ has the ability to cleanse us from every sin and cause us to walk like Christ walked completely free from the dominion of sin. When we doubt the doctrine of the power of the blood of Christ to completely sanctify us we give faith and power to the old man to stay alive and so the results are a holding on to certain inclinations of The flesh. I think some of these hidden sins are so embedded in our character that we don't believe that it's possible to have a complete change and walk in the new creation as sons of the heavenly man the second Adam. Because of this by default, We tend to hold on to and identify with the nature of Adam in many different ways instead of fully identifying with the nature of Christ and realizing that it's our inheritance to walk as Christ walked and to have Christ in us the hope of Glory the fully formed lamb within us.
You sent
True purity goes extremely deep and way beyond external sin. The pursuit of holiness and as Paul talked about entire sanctification, is the complete death of the old nature and no mixture of the old nature with the new nature, it's the fully-formed Christ, as Paul said I labor until Christ is formed and it takes years of seeking the kingdom and his righteousness The imparted divine nature which is the righteousness of Christ. When we are young in the faith we rest in the imputed righteousness and our justification, as we get older while still trusting in the blood's power to justify us we move into the place of imparted righteousness and the sanctification of the Soul. And trusting that He who began a good work in us will finish it in this life.
20:45
Righteousness is imputed to us by grace through Faith, but the reason why many us don't feel righteous is because our Imparted Righteousness which is the divine nature that we have partaken in has not grown much and taken over to dominate the soul. Many beloved still walk with their flesh and old nature trying to dictate and control the soul and so their conscience is defiled some what though not absolutely through sin, but through sinful behavior or just carnal thoughts. It's vitally important that we grow in divine nature which is imparted righteousness the reality of Christ in us. Paul said I labor in birth pains until Christ is formed in you. When Christ begins to be formed in our souls you do feel righteous because it is he that lives in us, it is no longer you who live but Christ that lives and the reality of the death of self begins to be experienced. Saying this is not being critical of beloved Christians in any way, but in reality the apostle Paul said it is babes in Christ that don't know good from evil and they act out their carnality in a similar way to worldly people. We all as Christians need to grow up and develop into truly mature people of God. Deep within our spirit is the call to walk as Christ walked and this is done through pursuing holiness and believing that it is our birthright and the golden law from Jesus Himself🙏
21:26
To reckon ourselves dead to sin we must allow the Holy Spirit to convict us of sin so that we by that same spirit do put to death the sins of the body. To identify with the crucifixion of Christ, and allow the death of Christ to be our own death, the death of the old man, we must understand that this still is another expression of repentance towards God and repentance from sin, we must have a sensitive conscience towards what sin is to have it crucified and put to death this is done through not us not denying or self-justifying our sin and self excusing it. So as we come to the altar which is the cross we must allow the sword of the spirit which is the word of God which is the high priest's work of cutting and exposing every sin of the old nature so that we can reject it and be healed. The idea of dying with Christ doesn't replace or contradict the deep work of the Holy Spirit to bring out and show all the sin that is within the old nature that has to die. We must take all our sin towards the altar ( the cross) to be dealt with. This becomes a deeply spiritual experience of the heart it's not an exercise we do through the intellect. It also involves the suffering and hard trials and stripes that occurred before the death of the Cross, which is part of partaking of the sufferings of Christ and the refining and testing of our faith through fire. Jesus learned obedience through the things that he suffered we must also walk through the valley of the shadow of death and experience suffering. He who suffers ceases from sin says the apostle. This has a purifying effect and through that process, God allows every crutch that we lean on in this world to be knocked out from under us so that we learn the hard way only to lean on and trust in Christ and what he did on the cross for us. Once we begin walking to the cross and walk up to the hill of Calvary it has a pride-stripping effect and we become ready to be placed upon the cross with Christ, but not as a Barabbas, as a murderer in heart. Our hearts must be prepared before the sacrificial death. The apostle Paul said offer yourselves as a living sacrifice Holy and acceptable to God. Two types of people try to be crucified with Christ the Barabbas, or the humbled thief. Learning obedience through the things that we suffer on the whipping Post and the pathway up to Golgotha, on the pathway of bearing the cross even before we die with Christ we must pray and say forgive them Lord for they know not what they do, peace to the world and good will towards men. We can't take false judgment upon the sacrificial altar, we must allow the spirit to do a cleansing work to prepare us for that special death, for the deep work of the Cross.

Quote: One is (judgment), false judgment a sin that is embedded in our flesh, the result of that sin is not being able to love our enemies and even love our brothers in Christ the way we are called to love. It seems to make it impossible to express the spirit of love through our bodies.

I would go deeper and say "Sin" or the you could say the "the Old Sinful nature" makes it impossible for us the to "to love our enemies and even love our brothers in Christ the way we are called to love"

As Paul writes "I will show you a still more excellent way"

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a ringing brass gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and I know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. I Cor 13:1-2

The Christian walk is not about the gifts of the Spirit - it's about the Love of God in our hearts.

If I do not have love I am nothing..

We are utterly helpless and devoid of ability of being able to love God or others with the "agabe love" if the deeper work of the Spirit has not cleansed our heart from the Sinful nature..

, Yes amen fully agree with your brother I did a video message not long ago on this subject, the point I was trying to make was that We may have delt with sin with the outer life and appear to be walking in righteousness yet we haven't dealt with these two particular sins and these two keep the old nature alive and give power to the old man. Paul made it clear that those that are in the flesh cannot please God he also made it clear that the Christians at Corinth we're babes in Christ and where still very Carnal in their behaviour but we're still Christians so the idea that we can be carnal Christian is very biblical but many people don't come out of that fully or more substantially and put the old nature on the cross so that the Holy Spirit can come and take the soul and control the soul of the person which affects the behaviour. I found the these were two hindering sins in my life that was connected with a literal religious spirit the can be received, so once it is received it decieves us and causes us to not realise we're not loving once I learnt to deal with the sin of judgement it released me into an Awakening and personal Revival much the same as being baptised in the spirit and born again all over again words cannot describe the joy the peace and the thankfulness that came but if I didn't deal with the sin of judgement I would never have found this freedom. Unbelief for me was not believing that Jesus could really completely set me free from the dominion of the old man that old sinful nature because it was a religious tradition and doctrine that held me in a belief pattern that told me that I would always struggle with sin and so those two sins held me in bondage. You can go to church and have a very religious life read the Bible every day pray 5 times a day, spend hours every day in devotions and still not move into the deeper life because of these two sins which are tied to a third sin called Pride. This is the trinity of the sin of man and if we learn to deal with these 3 sins we move into a deeper life and a personal Revival which will touch the lives of other people.

With all respect brother, I would have to disagree with saying that the Christian life is not about the gifts of the spirit because Paul clearly taught that the gifts of the spirit would be given for the edifying and the building up of the body of Christ and it was is actually a way that we express love because it's Faith working through love in which we use the gifts of the spirit and it's through the gifts of the spirit that we mature. The gifts are so important that Paul said that we should lust after and desire earnestly the gifts of the spirit but especially that we may prophesy. The problem is the gifts of the spirit even work when the Christian is not walking in holiness because God has Mercy upon other people and gods love and blessings is manifested through the gifts of the spirit when we express his love and power towards sinners or other Christians. The gift of mercy is such an important gift that demonstrates gods love through certain people the gift of helps is a very important gift. Personally, the gift of prophecy has enabled me to endure trials the gift of tongues as a prayer language has been one of the most important gifts to build me up and edify my spirit, I'm thoroughly convinced without the gifts of the spirit I would have fallen away and would have not had persevered, the gift of the word of wisdom is vital sometimes we need it so God can reveal something as revelation to us and that revelation can change our life in the same way prophetic revelation can.

Quote: With all respect brother, I would have to disagree with saying that the Christian life is not about the gifts of the spirit.

Bro that fine you can disagree with me if you want -

However the same Paul let's us know what love is.

Love, as Paul defines it - It necessitates us to give up our rights and suffer loss. It forces us to swallow our pride and not to insist on our ways. It delivers us from bitterness and irritableness.

Look at What John says:

If anyone says, "I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother” 1 John 4:20-21

Even if you are so anointed, so knowledgeable in the Word, so full of mountain-moving faith, so steadfast in your commitment, and so sacrificial in your service, you are nothing without love!

I love those verses you quoted Amen, also these ones 1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
English Revised Version

Romans 12 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. These graces are part of who God is and how he functions through us to touch and build up others, without these graces operating, we have a dead religion, bless you bro

The Christian walk is not about the gifts of the Spirit - it's about the Love of God in our hearts.

Let me try and explain what I mean...

God is a Spirit - God Is Love.

The outpouring of his Spirit is a inpouring of Love.

In the very centre of our being God's Spirit dwells in our Spirit.

The fruit of that sin was that self ascended the throne of the soul, to rule there instead of God in the spirit.

Selfishness became the ruling power in man's life. The self refused God His right is the simple history of the origin, the growth, the power, the reign of self.

If we understand this, are we prepared to admit the claim that Jesus makes 'Let him deny self and follow me'

Self following Jesus always fails, because it cannot love as He loves. Our proof of discipleship is to be love of God and our fellow man.

Now lets consider the Corinthians - how the gifts of the Spirit may be seen, but the chief of all - love - is wanting.

Why because the veil of the flesh had never been rent - the self was never been denied - and they couldn't follow as they should.

So when I say "the Christian walk is not about the gifts of the Spirit" I think about the veil - I think about "deny your-self and follow me'

My conclusion is - I don't care if God gives me any of the spiritual gifts.

I bow and surrender to him - I give it all to him - everything he has given to me - I give it back, everything I am I yield and surrender to him.

And I don't look for anything in return.

I like what you say brother about holiness, but in reality, our love for one another is expressed using gifts as a major element of the Christian walk. These gifts edify and build up the beloved in Christ and are used extensively to bring people to Christ, set people free from the controlling influence of demons, and bring healing to the hurting soul and body that may be racked with infirmity and sickness. God expresses his love to others through manifestations of the spirit, while using us as clay instruments, so that in the end he may receive glory and praise, and devotion and induce thanksgiving. All these things cannot be divorced from the essence of Christianity. Much of our personal development as a new creation in Christ is a result of the ascension gifts of Christ like pastor-teacher and the prophet whose life is faithfully submitted to the leading of the holy spirit and allowing God to use them in the outflowing of the graces of God which are gifts of the spirit. Without the functioning of both categories of the gifts from God, we have nothing but dead formal nominal religion on the one hand or occultism and witchcraft on the other hand.

Bro - I went to church and witnessed a highly gifted preacher destroyed the very people he attracted to church. His character was flawed and he never dealt with it and so he tried to control the people.

The great issue in the church is that we are not faithfully submitted to the leading of the holy spirit because the self life has not been dealt with.

The church is dead and is in need of revival..

B
brothagary Jun 26, 2023

Brother Revival never fixed the problems in the early church, A bigger problem is that much of churches even spirit-filled churches reject Revival when it comes as they are doing right this minute. Apostasy and false religious spirits of dead legalism and the spirit of lust and lawlessness always operate side by side they always have, the question is where do we as believers really stand in this minute? Many believers all around the world are experiencing times of refreshing that come by the spirit of the lord with the fruit of spirit accompanying a fresh transformation joy unspeakable and full of glory . Brother, please don't let a broad brushing of judgment cloud the vision and push away what God is doing, that mindset will stop you from experiencing a revival in your own life. I spent about ten years doing just that it doesn't bring joy nor peace that passes all understanding it blocks the fresh infillings of the spirit that God wants to give all of us, and the worst-case scenario is that it opens a door on our heart to receive a religious demonic spirit which further complicates matters and can even lead to falling away. Bless you you Brother

Quote: Brother, please don't let a broad brushing of judgment cloud the vision and push away what God is doing, that mindset will stop you from experiencing a revival in your own life.

What I am supposed to say, an encounter with God where he informed me that the church was dead.

But then he told me to get up, that he speaks in the middle of death and that there was people that was hearing his voice just like I was hearing his voice. (A remnant)

Then he told me about the Move of God, that he was going to send, he is going to raise up the people, who will preach the gospel to lost dying generation, a people who will heal the sick and will cast out devils. However when this Move of God comes some Pastor will struggle when God raises up the people as they control the people.

Then my dear Brother I spent 7 years in a church with controlling Pastor and eventually I left and was led into the wilderness so to speak.

Then out there away from the church, God started to speak about Holiness.

My dear brother - I wont miss the Move of God - God has given it to me, what he will do is the meaning of my name, that's the promise he made.

But that is not important, as I am but his instrument - what's important is to be found in him. Meaning simply that you move from the Adamic nature to the Christ nature no longer united to Adam but united to Christ.

I don't know what you think about Dutch Sheets - but he is the only other man I have heard say about how Pastors will struggle when the Move of God comes.

Amen brother I believe God spoke to you, it seems that he has spoken to millions of Christians one way or the other whether at Be through dreams visions or prophecy or through someone like Dutch sheets. I love that man a genuine apostolic voice is helping to equip the remanent to pray for a great wave of the Holy Spirit. theres definitely a remnant that has a woken up and it's moving in the spirit of intercession or the spirit of prayer and supplication expecting god spirit to increase. We're moving into the day of atonement and the feast of Tabernacles. God is going to merge the revelation of holiness with the revelation of the power gifts and they will become one movement. To be honest, I think I've watched most of what I can get hold of with Dutch sheets he introduced me technically to the apostolic movement, he truly has the father's heart. Blessings to you brother 🔥✝️🛐

I'm about to show myself strong in Australia, Blow the trumpet 🎺 The wet season I spoke of can be seen on the horizon. I will release a shower of rain upon my intercessors. This rain will come upon their eyes like eye salve, it will cause them to see deep into my spirit. Revelation winds will blow upon their mind, and they will live and move in a new spirit of intercession. And they will call upon the deep so that the deep, will flow upon the earth as new rivers in dry places, in times of floods. As springtime comes along with it will come a special bloom of flowers from a garden that I have cleaned and prepared for the season of fruit. The release of fragrance will be a holy life with a holy message wafting down the streets drawing many to the boundaries of my garden, and many ragged, old and sick and young plants that were my special seed from the past will be dug up and they will become the Transplanted ones that I will strategically place back in my garden next to my strong plants and they will draw from them and get nourishment from them, and from my holy sap. Once the weak become strong I will then graft them together and they Will all draw their sap from ME . Then I will send a Great flood of Firey Rain that will completely flood my gardens and I will release from boundaries of my garden The Firey Flood that will contain also My Holy Sap and these will invade the Streets of Darkness and even enter into the Garden of Enmity, and many weeds of different sizes will be ripped from their roots, and new seeds will be planted and I Will declare says the Lord a New Name and remove the enmity, drive in a Golden Stake, and lay a New Claim. IT will be a time of upheaval and a time of my Divine judgment Says the Lord, but it shall be a time of Sweet Restoration and a time of Abundance, and a time to Gather sweet and fat fruit and a time to make wine and a time to build Barns and time to preserve the spoil in fine crystal ware and reserve in my barns for ME to drink and be merry, And for me to consume in my Coming kingdom. So again I say look up, And smell the Wind, for the Rain is coming on the wind, for with the smell comes firey rain not far behind it. Know The Season and look not at the world nor listen to the false prophets of pharmakeia and the babbling foolish ones, neither love the world nor the things in the world but draw from Heaven, and My will be done, on Earth as in Heaven. Prophesy 31 1 2022.

Where about in Australia are you?

I currently work for a Australian company (Woodside Energy based in Perth) Although I have never been there.

Jean Darnell Vision 1967

During 1967, American evangelist Jean Darnall, on her first trip to England (en-route to Hong Kong) had the last of three recurring visions. The third time she had the vision she was staying in the manse at St. Mary’s Church in Poole, Dorset, England.

In these visions she was looking down upon the United Kingdom, having a birds-eye view of the British Isles.

Vision Of Revival In Great Britain

The British Isles were covered in mist (a green haze), and Jean Darnell saw lots of pinpoints of light piercing through. As she looked, they turned out to be fires breaking out all over the nation, from Scotland in the North, to Lands End in the South.

As these God-lit fires were joined together they burned brighter. As she continued to pray, she saw lightning and explosions of fire and then rivers of fire flowing from North to South; from Scotland, Ireland, and Wales into England and some of the streams of fires crossed the channel into Europe, whilst others stopped.

These fires were pockets of people who had been made intensely hungry for the word of God and for New Testament Christianity, those who read the book of Acts and wondered 'where is this church?'

These people would come together to pray and extra meetings would have to be laid on to accommodate all the people. Groups would be formed, prayer groups, Bible study groups - some would meet in churches, others would be in homes: some converted, others unconverted who were searching and seeking.

Two Moves Of God

Jean Darnall asked the Lord about the vision and had the distinct impression that there would be two moves of God.

1. Renewal In The Church

The first would be the renewal of Christian faith and fullness of the Holy Spirit within the church.

2. National Awakening And World Vision

This renewal of life in the church would spread outside resulting in a public awakening. The second part of the vision was the lightning striking around the nation. This move of God would be a national spiritual awakening, which would move into every level of the nation’s life; on the campuses, universities, colleges, schools etc., into the media and in the government.

There would be so many conversions that it would actually change the character of the nation of Britain and determine the future move of God in Europe. Jean continued that there would not be a part of the nation’s life that will not feel the impact of the spiritual awakening when God releases it to the country.

Great Preachers

The Lord told Jean Darnall that He would also raise up highly anointed preachers who would move in signs and wonders. These people would be a gift to Britain.

Communicators Reaching Britain And Europe

The word ‘communicators’ was strongly laid upon Jean’s heart and was a word that was not trendy in those days. [The internet was not be birthed until nearly three decades later in 1994 and Christian television first came to Britain via satellite in October 1995].

Jean explained that as the rivers of fire moved, it would produce powerfully gifted communicators who would address the nation through the media, (Through the arts, journalism, the radio and television). Actors, singers, teachers and powerful communicators (who have an anointing to work through the media) will be the new warriors that the Lord is raising up for His army [the younger generation] to reach the heart of the people on the European Continent. People with a special anointing will be sent out from these islands (of Britain) to other nations.

These communicators will be excellent in all that they do and will go into Europe and meet those of like quality (in training and abilities) and together they will work to release God’s word speedily into Europe. This will result in another wave of a spiritual awakening into Europe. Also, there would be communicators in government and within the educational system and wherever people are speaking [up] for others.

Jean Darnall

The vision of 1967 came at the time of the early Charismatic renewals within the UK. Jean Darnall, in response to this recurring vision, stayed in Britain for over two decades along with her husband to help nurture the fires that God lit. Jean Darnall (at the time of writing this) lives in Hawaii working with YWAM, and still anticipates the impending mass awakening of Great Britain and beyond as revealed in these visions.

I'm in Cairns North Queensland brother. When I read that prophecy that you just shared it reminds me of the ones that I received, the 1 in 2011 talks about 2 moves of God, and the one I just shared here also talks about 2 moves. The springtime and the release of fragrance be the first move and then the great flood of fiery rain is a second move. Where Jean talks about the renewal in the church, this is part that talks about the release of fragrance will be a holy life with the holy message wafting down the street this is talking about the renewal of Christians and bringing them back into the boundaries of the garden which is the church and many ragged Old and sick and young Christians will become transplanted back into the church and they will be built up. And the world wide awakening and the World Vision is this part, then I will send a great flood of fiery rain this is the great awakening that will completely awaken the church and will be released from the church which is the boundaries of the garden and these will invade the streets of darkness this is invading into the spheres of influence gene talks about which is technically the 7 mountains of influence, she says campuses universities colleges schools media and the government every level of the nation's life she says. This is saying the same thing these will enter in and invade the streets of darkness and even enter into the garden of Emity and many weeds of different sizes will be ripped from their roots and new seeds will be planted and I will declare says the Lord a new name and remove the enmity and drive in a golden stake and lay a new claim, that's exactly what she's talking about. Thanks for posting that prophecy I wasn't aware of it I've never read that one.

A transcript of Jean Darnell message sharing about the vision God gave her.

She mentions a people movement - that's the words God used speaking to me he is going to raise up a victouriuos people.

The last words he spoke that night - was go for the people, go for the people, GO FOR THE PEOPLE - typing these words don't give the power, force or authority behind the voice.

Go for the People..

Jean Darnell’s 1967 Vison

During those weeks a vision came to me. It appeared three different times, during prayer, and it was the same vision each time. Now most of my revelation from the Lord is what I just 'know': He makes me know something, and I speak it forth. But now and then I have a vision, and when I do I have a pretty good one! Some people have a very garden-variety type of visions: they're getting them all the time, you know. But I just have them now and then. And it's usually a milestone: a turning point or very large directive in my life.

And what I saw was the British Isles, as in a bird's eye view. A kind of haze was over the whole, like a green fog. And then little pinpricks of light began to appear from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then the Lord seemed to draw me closer to these lights, and I saw that they were fires that were burning. They were multiplying from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then I saw lightening come and strike those fires, the brightest spots particularly, and there was a kind of explosion, and rivers of fire flowed down. Again, the sense of direction was from the top of Scotland to Land's End. But some of those rivers of fire didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and spread out into the Continent.

The third time this vision appeared I figured the Lord was showing me or trying to tell me something. I was in Dorset by this time, at St Mary's (Church of England) with Rev Ken Prior, and I asked him if I could stay an extra day. You know, there's nothing quite so awkward as an evangelist the day after the meetings are over. But I said, 'Could I stay an extra day in the vicarage and pray? I need to find out what the Lord is trying to say to me.' Because up to that point I was really still on my way to Hong Kong. And the Lord spoke to me very clearly. It was a wonderful day. It certainly changed the path of my life.

When I say the Lord spoke to me, I don't mean that it was an audible voice. But it was a knowing. That strong knowing, like reading at the end of a book and knowing exactly what was going to happen. And you can't change it: it is written. And so it was written upon my heart, the meaning of this vision.

Phase One: The Glowing Fires

The Lord impressed it on my Heart that those fires I saw were groups of people whom He would make intensely hungry for New Testament Christianity. They would start reading their Bibles and saying, for instance, as they read the book of Acts, 'Well, where is this happy church? Where are these people so full of the power of the Holy Spirit? Where are these miracles? Where is this growth, this vitality, this courage, this boldness that these people had? Is that for today - can we have it today? Should the church be this way?'

And as these questions were being planted in their hearts, the Lord Jesus said He would make them very hungry for the Holy Spirit; He would fill them with the Holy Spirit, and out of those gifts would flow ministries that would enrich the Body of Christ. The whole concept of the Body of Christ would come alive, and barriers between denominations and different types of Christians would break down as people met each other. The Lord said He would move these people all over the country. After he had taught them gifts, he would move them to another place where they would carry that fire, and where they would meet others also who were being renewed by the Holy Spirit. He would put them in different situations from what they were used to, so that they would get to know people of other denominations, other cultures and other classes, and be able to communicate to them the blessings that the Lord had given them. And then He told me that during that time He would also test them. There would be great testing of faith, great waiting times. He would teach them spiritual warfare. He would show them the meaning of the power of the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Phase Two: The Coming of the Lightning

Then I asked the Lord, 'What does the lightning stand for?' And he said, 'Unlike the first part, in which I will be speaking to Christians and preparing My church and renewing it and reviving the saints, the lightning represents a second part of the vision, in which I will bring a spiritual awakening to the nation that will be a witness to the unsaved, to the un-churched, to the non-Christian.

Through these believers I will bring a witness to this land. They will be an army of witnesses. And I will begin to release their ministries so that when they give their testimonies there will be apostolic signs following and accompanying their testimonies. Where ears have been deaf and hearts have been hard and eyes have been blind, I will touch the people of this land and they will begin to hear the testimony of My people, they will begin to see the manifestations of My power, and their hearts will begin to believe. Thousands and thousands of people are going to come into my kingdom through this army of witnesses, through this people movement - not characterized by any particular evangelist or great organisation at the front, but just My people rising up, led by My spirit and beginning to move forward with a new faith for evangelism, a new zeal to share Jesus with others. And as they give their testimonies, I will release their ministries of healing and miracles, and there will be signs and wonders accompanying their ministries. So many people will be saved, in the villages as well as in the cities, in the schools, in the government, in media, in industry. It will affect the destiny of this nation; it will determine the course of the times.

Phase Three: Streams across the Channel

Then I said, 'Lord, what about these streams that go on across the Channel into Europe?' And He said, 'That represents people who will rise up in the midst of this people movement, this army of witnesses in Britain, whom I will make My communicators.' Now I hadn't used that word very much before in ministry I said, 'Lord, what do you mean by communicators?' And he said, 'They will not only be people endowed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, with strong faith, but they will also be people talented in the arts. They will be writers, musicians, singers and actors, and also technicians in television, radio and the mass media. I will call and send them and put them in strategic places. I will bless their natural talents with my Spirit, and they will be good: they will excel. They will be leaders in their fields. I will send them into Europe, where they will meet other people in the media, and through them I will release the word of God very fast in Europe. The result will be another wave of a spiritual awakening, with thousands coming to Christ throughout Europe.' Well, I got kind of excited after I'd heard all that from the Lord, and I said, 'Lord, why are you telling me this? I'm on my way to Hong Kong.' And He said, 'Oh, no you're not: you're going to stay right here, and I'm going to bring Elmer here.' And I said, ' What do you want us to do, Lord?' And He said, 'I want you to nourish the fires that I light.' So I'm not the firelighter. The Lord is the Firelighter.

A Time of Waiting

My husband was in Hong Kong another year before he got here. But when he came, several pastors asked him if he would start a school for leadership training for people who had been filled with the Spirit and had gift ministries. He said, 'Well, I'll set it up for a year, and then we'll go back to the United States.' We forgot that we didn't have anything to go back to - you know, we'd sold the house and given away everything. I had given the money to the poorest people I could find - young preachers just starting out in the ministry. So there was nothing to go back to. But we still had that mind-set. It took a little while for the Lord to make us realize that He had other plans.

That was twenty-one years ago. And during those twenty-one years I have ministered all over this country, as Pastor Black has mentioned. But I have never gone away up to the north of Scotland. Many times I've said to my husband, I'd just love to go up there and find the fires that God has been lighting.' And he has said, 'Well, why don't you go on? I don't mind, if you want to get ahead of the vision.' You know, it's very easy, when you get a revelation from God, to think you've got to go out and make it happen. That's very unwise - it doesn't bother God much but it sure can be embarrassing for you. You can fall flat on your face. I've tried that a couple of times, and I think I've learned my lesson on it. So I said, 'No, I don't want to do anything like that. I want to go when the Lord really calls me to go, if He needs me.'

A Brush with Death

Last August our college sponsored a conference with a wonderful man of God named Judson Cornwall. Just before he came, I collapsed in a church service with a near-fatal coronary. Graham Kendrick was standing beside me; I was so glad he was there because he prayed for me right away and I was wonderfully touched: instantly the pain subsided. It took me a little while, though, before I got home. I thought I had a bad case of indigestion! But the Lord did heal me, and I was able to attend the conference.

And a Revelation from Heaven

And one day, between lunch and the afternoon session, I said to our team, 'Let's just pray before we go upstairs.'
I was thinking about very matter-of-fact things like how long should the worship go on, and where would we take the offering and so on. I certainly wasn't thinking about the visions and lights and fires. And suddenly the Spirit of God came upon me. I don't know if you've ever had anything like that where God's power and presence comes on you so mightily that suddenly everything else is forgotten. It wasn't that I couldn't have stopped; but I didn't want to. I began to weep and weep, and strong crying came upon my heart, real, deep sobs. I knew that the Spirit of God had brought the Lord's burden upon me. And I said, 'Lord, what is happening to me?' The closest thing I could compare to the intensity of the anointing that was upon me at that moment was when the Lord called me into the ministry when I was only fifteen years old. And I said, Lord, what is this? It's something very important.'

One word He spoke to me: Scotland.

Phase Two at Hand

Scotland. I knew what it meant. I knew that He wanted me to come up here, and I knew that he wanted me to come up with a special message. That message is to say to as many people as I can, in as many places as I can, that the second part of that vision is right at hand. It's here, folks, that spiritual awakening: it's starting; the very first signs of it are already upon us. Your generation are going to see a harvest of souls in this land such as you have never seen before. And it's going to have a tremendous effect not only upon this nation and the British Isles, but upon many other nations.

The first sign: Men at Prayer

There are three things that the Lord has asked me to share about this vision everywhere I go: three signs of this awakening. The first is that the Lord is sending a strong call to prayer among men. Early Morning Prayer meetings will start all over the land as men desire to pray, and they will start asking their pastors and leaders, 'Can we meet together before work and pray?' In those prayer meetings there will come strong intercession and an increased faith and vision in these men's souls for the nation. They will not only pray in their own churches, but soon they will start combining together in other churches, with other church groups. And in some places these prayer meetings will grow too big for the building, and they will come out in the open and pray in the parks or in front of town halls.

Wouldn't that be nice, to have a prayer meeting right out here, of hundreds and hundreds of men lifting their voices in prayer for the nation? And it will be a sign in itself: these prayer meetings will be a witness to the nation, and many people will come to the Lord just by witnessing these prayer meetings, and hearing the prayers of these men.

The Second Sign: Christ Revealed to the Young.

The second thing is that the Lord is going to send a tremendous revelation of Himself to boys and girls in this country. Between the ages of nine and fifteen particularly, children will begin to have a revelation of Jesus. They will see Him, they will know Him, they will hear Him, He will speak to them. He will come to them in visions and dreams, He will reveal His word to them. They will be converted and filled with the Holy Spirit and gifted by Him. And they will start praying. They will be healed themselves, and they will start praying for each other; and there will be wonderful healings through these boys and girls.

They will not only be the children of Christian parents. The Lord is going to manifest Himself to those who are in non- Christian homes where there is no love nor real family unity, where there is no knowledge of the Lord at all: perhaps not only for one generation but for many generations no Christian person has been in that family. But Jesus is going to meet them and reveal His power and His presence to them and His love for them. When they start coming to our children and to our teachers and telling what they are seeing and hearing from the Lord, our duty will be to receive them and love them as they are- because they will be rough diamonds, and they will have rather unusual, un-churchy language. But their experiences will be real. Some of their experiences will be so unusual you may doubt them. At that point receive their testimonies at face value, give them the word of God, and teach them how to love: because these children will have ministries not only as children, but as leaders in their adult life, and they will bless your country and other countries. So receive these children, teach them. Those of you who teach Sunday school, those of you who have children in your home and neighbourhood whom you are concerned about, begin to ask the Lord to raise your level of expectation of what they can receive, because they are going to start hearing. And just like the adults, they will start hearing the word and receiving the Lord and being able to receive deep spiritual experiences in the Lord.

The Third Sign: Anointed Preachers

The third thing the Lord said He would do relates to the raising up of preachers. Although this awakening will not be characterised by great evangelists at the beginning, it will produce great preachers. You are going to hear evangelists with such fire, such powers of persuasion that they will touch thousands of people and win them to the Lord Jesus. God is giving these preachers not only to Scotland; He will send them to other parts of Britain, and many to other parts of the world, with an ever increasing ministry of winning many people to the Lord.

Beware of Jealousy and Criticism

When the Lord reveals something to you, then you pray into it, not to make it happen, but to pray that as many people as possible will be involved and touched, and hear. And when I pray for this particular part of the vision, for these preachers and evangelists, I just feel the sorrow of Jesus' heart, for He says to me that He has already given to this land in recent times good ministries, strong ministries, that He wished to increase, but they were cut off, and hindered, and narrowed in the dimensions of their greatness because of jealousy, criticism and envy. In my spiritual warfare I have been coming against that spirit of jealousy, envy and criticism - because I think that it will try to rise up again, even in the face of the tremendous anointing God will give these preachers. So I just ask you to be on guard, be alert to that, and if you feel those feelings and emotions rising up in you against some ministry that God is blessing, be generous in your heart, be quick to repent of it, and ask the Lord to take that away, so that you can contribute and nourish and support those ministries, rather than stand back from them with hostility and jealousy. The Lord is going to use them whether you like them or not. But it would be a lot better if you liked them and got right there beside them, because then you could share the joy of winning souls for the Lord Jesus - because that's what it's all about, folks. The Lord isn't sending us for fun and games, any more then He sent the charismatic renewal for us to have Holy huddles and exchange spiritual gifts like Christmas presents all the time. That isn't the purpose of the renewal. The purpose is evangelism. It's to get out there into that harvest that God is preparing.
And you sons and daughters of Scotland will be part of a modern ministry movement that will bless the whole world, and Scotland will greatly contribute to this. So be part of it.

A Deluge of Power

You young people, you are going to see miracles and effective ministry such as our eyes have never seen, as the Lord pours out His Spirit, not only upon the Christians, but upon the unsaved, in these days. So be encouraged. Jesus said men ought always to pray and never give up - because this harvest is bound to include some of your friends, some of your neighbours, your families, who need the Lord. So have faith, have courage.

Take Courage

When I first came to England, Jeanne Harper met me, and drove us from Heathrow in a little Mini car, riding on the wrong side of the road, you know! My daughter and I had five pieces of luggage each - we thought we needed all of that - and so the car was heaped up inside and out with all this luggage. As Jeanne was driving furiously through the peak hour traffic, my heart was thumping, first because I was excited to be here, and secondly because of all the traffic and double-decker buses and everything.

I looked out over the tops of the cases and saw a great big red sign with gold letters saying, Courage! Take courage! And I said to her, 'Isn't it wonderful how your government has put up all these morale boosters!' She said, 'Oh, these are ale advertisements.' I said, 'Oh, well, I'll take it in the right spirit!'

So have courage, folks: take courage, and know that God is with us, and He has chosen to cause our eyes to see things that He has prepared for us in this age that are beyond anything we could ask or think. He will do it, according to the power that works mightily in us as His church. Praise the Lord.
