(This post follows from my earlier one about a new look at the 7 Mountains, from a "Quaker-type" prospective. Please read this before reading what is posted below.)
If you agree with the basic message of my earlier post (not necessarily with every point made there!) and if you are in a position to do so, can I suggest that you might pray about forming the type of Christian group within the particular sphere of influence in which God has placed you. If you are a member of a business, please pray that God brings you into contact (if you are not already in contact) with other Christians within that business who would like to join with you in meeting on a regular basis to seek discernment of God's will on the various issues that arise within that business. As (I hope) was made clear in my earlier post, the manner in which decisions are reached by these groups is not simply "consensus" in the broader sense of that term but a Spirit-guided consensus concerning the discernment of God's will for whatever issue is being brought before Him. This concerns the exercise of the spiritual gifts of knowledge (about what God's will is) and wisdom (as to how to apply it re the point at issue).
As explained in the earlier post, these will be silent prayer and waiting meetings, modeled along the lines of the traditional Quaker approach for church-business meetings. I believe that the next step will be for the extension of this method into the various spheres of influence within society, especially business and the various levels of government. These meetings will serve as outposts of the Kingdom within the spheres of influence; outposts through which Jesus will (I believe) bring the spheres of influence into the kingdom of God.
