Back in February, in episode 180 of the Christ is All podcast I unveiled the new lyrics I wrote to the epic tour de force song STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.

The new lyrics tell the story of the Romance of the Ages, found from Genesis to Revelation.

Since February, I've searched for someone who could record the song, but alas, everyone who expressed interest didn’t have the voice to pull it off.

Until this past week!

I'm happy to announce that a sister in Christ with a magnificent voice and the range to carry all the notes just made a studio recording of the song, and it made me weep.

She not only hit the ball in the seats, she knocked it out of the stadium.

The song is POWERFUL.

I hope you’ll take the time to listen to it. As a line from one of my favorite movies goes ("The Cutting Edge”), it’s "so good it will make you cry.”

The new version raises the song beyond the stratosphere, exalting the Lord Jesus Christ, the true Bridegroom, as it tells the story of the most beautiful girl in the world””the bride of the Lamb.

Added bonus: there are no sinister messages when you play it backwards! :-)"

I’ve heard a version of "Amazing Grace” set to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun”. The words do "fit” with the tune but something seems not right about it.

I cannot listen to that tune for the same reason. I remember back in the days when I was a youth this song on some other tunes like sympathy for the devil by the Rolling Stones cast a spell on me and I started to spiral down into darkness - until I met Jesus!

No wonder Satan rewarded the band members with the enjoyment of unbridled pleasure, fame, and riches.

Before I was saved in 1972, my friends and I would get high listening to the music of Led Zepplin. You can change the words, but it brings back too many memories of the life that I am dead to. So I just can’t get any thing spiritual from this song, even though Frank Viola and his Christ centered emphasis has always been a blessing to me.
