Holy spirit moving in Birmingham

From 52 min to 120 mark , Holy Spirit descends, causing conviction and repentance. Looks to be just under 100 people at the altar on their knees. Pastor mark Hemans from Australia was invited to preach at Wigglesworth old church and received a sovereign impartation He went down hard to the ground in the pulpit and has been ministering in a powerful Anointing, preaching hard against sin and worldliness and vain entertainments like tv and movies, with emphases on extreme consecration........ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbh6DnyNoSY

He tells of a recent incident in a public school in Florida where the holy spirit fell on the classroom delivering children.

He tells of John weasely having a revival in the very building.... I think God is uncaping the wells of revival, and he will blend the wine together to create an end-time vintage

I watched (or listened) while I was working around the house. I liked him, he talks about repentance setting people free, not him.

I will listen to the rest after work today.

Thank you for sharing this!

This is more twitching and falling out, like in old Benny Hinn meetings, or those of Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland. At best these are the same techniques stage hypnotists use, and at worst it is the kundalini spirit seen in many Hindu guru and shamanistic meetings which can also be watched on YouTube.

Funny how no one was falling out in the Scriptures except for the *enemies* of God. This video has the same counterfeit manifestations as the Toronto "blessing," Pensacola "revival," Rodney Howard-Browne, and Todd Bentley meetings-- all patently false. No thank you. I've seen these things up close and in person. Theologically, I am a classical Pentecostal. The genuine operation of God's gifts of the Spirit is holy, wonderful, and always Christ-exalting. I feel sorry for those who are caught up in error, not discerning what is of God. They genuinely desire what is true, but fall prey to strange fire.

this a news report from Azusa Street where classic Pentecostals began................Another local paper reporter in September 1906 described the happenings with the following words:

disgraceful intermingling of the races...they cry and make howling noises all day and into the night. They run, jump, shake all over, shout to the top of their voice, spin around in circles, fall out on the sawdust blanketed floor jerking, kicking and rolling all over it. Some of them pass out and do not move for hours as though they were dead. These people appear to be mad, mentally deranged or under a spell. They claim to be filled with the spirit. They have a one eyed, illiterate, Negro as their preacher who stays on his knees much of the time with his head hidden between the wooden milk crates. He doesn't talk very much but at times he can be heard shouting, "Repent," and he's supposed to be running the thing... They repeatedly sing the same song, "The Comforter Has Come."[8]

I do not put my faith in nor form doctrines based on experiences, be they mine or others, but in the Person of Jesus Christ and His revealed will as found in the Scriptures. As a student of church history, I personally have a lot more confidence in the purity of God's work with William Seymour and company on Bonnie Brae St. *before* they moved to Azusa St. At the latter location chaos did ensue, as well as internal rivalries and jealousies. I won't even get into the character of Seymour's erstwhile mentor Charles Parham here. And another faction stole William Seymour's contact list, effectively cutting off communication with many. This man of God was overwhelmed as he sought to minister in such conditions.

The early 20th century revival in North Korea had no one falling into spasms or "slain," yet hundreds of thousands were won to Christ by the joint efforts of Methodist and Presbyterian missionaries. All of the believers in South Korea today are the direct result and continued fruit of that revival.

The Hebrides revival of 1949-52 in the isle of Lewis and Harris and other portions of Scotland's western isles was not characterised by anyone twitching out or other aberrant behaviour. A deep conviction of sin came ACROSS THE LAND, not just the church or churches where evangelist Duncan Campbell was preaching the Word. In fact, crowds often formed *before* he arrived in a certain locale.

The revival among the Zulus and other South African tribes began in December, 1966 after God had dealt with minister Erlo Stegen. The crowds came to *him* at the KwasizaBantu mission, crying out for salvation, deliverance, and healing. Dr. Kurt Koch wrote a fine 300 page volume in 1978, God Among the Zulus, giving a firsthand account. Koch had seen much in the way of counterfeits, being William Branham, Kathryn Kuhlman, or the like, but was overjoyed to find the real and genuine at the KwasizaBantu mission. Everything is done decently and in order there, and the work goes on to this day.

Brother Mark Hemans came to Lake Charles Louisiana and did a series of meetings. I also had the opportunity to interview him on the radio program that I host. He is the real deal. he exalts the Lord Jesus, moves in the power of the Holy Spirit, with signs and wonders, healing‘s, deliverance and miracles.

I'm sorry Chris, but the Holy Spirit doesn't move according to your cherry-picked preference. The history of Revival tells a different story.

Brother Gary, KELB is a Christian radio station out of Lake Charles La. It can be streamed over the internet. I also do a Facebook Live on the interviews that I do. I will look for the interview with Brother Mark, but I don’t even know if I still have it. The interview was done several years ago.

Brothers Gary and Mike,

If the Corinthian church had had humility, brotherly love, and a zeal for purity in their gatherings, along with the rich gifting and Spirit presence that they did have, would that be called a "revival” or merely His body with each part functioning properly building itself up to His fullness or……the church. ? Why the fascination with the sensational extraordinary instead of a zeal for the supernatural ordinary ? Paul was far more anointed than brother Mark and he was intensely burdened with the church functioning in the ordinary Spirit filled way God intended and he gave his life and suffered all things for it.

Hi Robert. To start with the church at Corinth had factions and were not moving in brotherly love the way they should have they did have a healthy moving of the holy spirit in its gifts by the looks of Paul's letter. I believe the churches were experiencing a revival. They definitely weren't functioning properly in building one another up according to the way Paul would have liked. There weekly Lord's Day Sunday meeting was a mosh pit of spiritual activity and probably a great prayer meeting, but that wasn't how Paul wanted that regular meeting to function I think that's extremely clear from Paul's letter. Mark Hemans does not do regular Sunday meetings he functions with an apostolic anointing and moves around primarily functioning in the gifts of miracles the gifts of healings the words of knowledge and prophecy and imparting gifts by the leading of the spirit to different people, and the laying on of hands for the baptism of the holy spirit, he doesn't function as a Bible teacher or pastor. Why not be fascinated and happy when God moves and delivers people from long-held demonic bondages and from debilitating sicknesses why not be happy when the joy of the Lord sweeps through a church? Even the far more anointed apostle Paul, said rejoice with those who are rejoicing and weep with those who weep,
Be of one mind, the apostle Paul taught the believers to be empathetic to the moving of the holy spirit in others, in other words, to resonate with it. You would have to be creating wild assumptions to assume that Paul didn't appreciate and embrace the holy spirit as God delivers and brings joy into people's lives. Celebrating what God does in the backslider's life and the lukewarm should be a reason for rejoicing even if it looks silly to the natural man or the carnal mind or the religious spirits. The apostle Paul said if I'm beside myself or out of my mind it is for God's sake but if I am of a sound mind a sober mind it is for your sake. If you look at the First visitations and outpouring of the spirit on the church like the day of Pentecost, and the first outpouring upon the gentile congregations these are not normal church services but they happen in times of revival Paul would not have been rejecting powerful outpourings of the spirit when they come whether they came through his hands or Sovereignly or through another's hand. When God chooses to move that is his business and he will do it whichever way he chooses. Brother I plead with you please do not box God in .🙏😊☝️🕎

Why the fascination with the sensational extraordinary instead of a zeal for the supernatural ordinary ?

Brother, I praise God for every legetimae ministry that God is using. I do believe that the fivefold ministry is to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry, and every believer that is baptized in the Holy Spirit has the potential to heal the sick and cast out demons. Prophets of God have seen stadiums filled with people worshipping the Lord, and the sick being healed by Christians that were nameless and faceless to the general public. Every true minister gives glory to God for what the Lord is doing through him, and the false profit or teacher seeks the glory and praise of men for himself.

ChrisA has already accurately described the situation and given us further important information.
What happens in Birmingham has nothing to do with the glorious Gospel of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We don't know His mercies anymore and that His grace is sufficient for us. Have we forgotten "that old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame" ?

Lord have mercy, may we repent !

Markus
