"God is Love but Does He Ever Hate?

The bible declares that "God is love”. We are told that God "so loved” the world that He gave His only begotten Son. In our day when all you need is love and we flippantly love everything from MacDonald’s French fries to the hottest new finger-nail polish, it is hard for many to envision God hating anything. Many are do delusional that they think the last verse in the Bible says, "And they all lived happily ever after." But the question remains. Does God ever Hate? The answer is yes.
In Revelation we are told in no uncertain terms that God hates the Nicolaitans. The Nicolaitans represent those who Lord over God’s flock and spiritually abuse those under their authority. The attributes of Nicolaitans is dictatorial behavior, legalism, lording over the sheep, spiritual abuse, religious tyranny in all of its forms, and making an arbitrary separation between a holy caste of religious mediators and the laity.
The New Testament record shows that the seeds of the Nicolaitan heresy so strongly condemned in Revelation’s 2:6 emerged during the final years of the 1st century church. The rise of the "bishops" as super "elders" built upon the Old Testament pattern of a select priesthood which stood in supremacy over others and created an artificial separation between the holy mediators and the laity. This evolved into the ascendency of a supreme bishop in Rome who ruled over the entire church as "Christ's supreme vicar" over the church. With The rise of Popery and the power Roman Catholic hierarchy the Nicolaitan would be firmly entrenched in the "Great Whore” and her many adulterous daughters to this day.
The tendency to "lord over God’s sheep” is alive and well in many churches today through the Roman Catholic priesthood, pastors who love the preeminence, church staff, religious orders, denominational hierarchies, celebrity divas, and church boards who are little more than religious bullies and control freaks.
In Proverbs we are told, "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: The proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devices wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among the brethren.” ”“ (Proverbs 6:16-19)
But God hates other things as well.
We are told that God’s hates the pagan practices, fake spiritual narratives, religious traditions of men, idolatry, and false messiahs of manmade religions. He hates sin and iniquity, idolatry in all of its forms, religion, religious posturing, the pride of man, churchianity, denominationalism, the "Great Whore & her many daughters”, those who make merchandise of the gospel, self-righteousness, self-promotion, the love of this world, evil doers, an unjust weight, cruelty, injustice, deceivers, deception, lying, and Satan and his fallen angels.
For this reason, "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” ”“ (Romans 1:18) Yes, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God!
