Did A. A. Allen truly end up an Alcoholic?

I first heard the truth about AA Allen’s death from
a message preached by Pastor Joe Sweet.

A. A Allen was falsely accused of dying from an
alcohol poisoning, and falsely accused of being
an alcoholic.

But…did A. A. Allen truly end up an alcoholic?

Are you aware his family is in possession of a copy of the $10,000 cheque that was given to A. A. Allen’s doctor to inject him with alcohol overdose and write on his death certificate that he died of alcoholism? Are you aware this doctor confessed to his crime on his death bed?

Have you heard Bobby Connor’s story about how after he took a class and talked about A A Allen’s sad ending, the Lord appeared to him in his hotel room? Rev. Connor had simply read A. A. Allen’s story on "The God’s Generals” written by Roberts Liardon where he read about Allen’s death as a result of alcoholism. He just went ahead and repeated what he read in a meeting with the intention of encouraging ministers to leave clean lives till the end. According to Bobby Connor, on getting to his hotel room that night the Lord appeared to him and told him "you lied about my servant Allen. He was a righteous man and when you get to heaven you’d find out. He was killed by a Christian mafia”? Connor’s story is all over the internet.

Are you aware that it is believed that A. A. Allen was murdered… by a Christian denomination? The same denomination who Allen’s Doctor produced a bribe cheque of $10,000 he received to inject alcohol into his system? Are you aware that this same denomination announced his death a day before he actually died and Allen heard romours of his own death by alcoholism before he actually died the next day?

If you are called to preach and you experience the miraculous, you’d know that people like A. A. Allen would be faced with severe persecution and slander from Bible carrying people. They would call you a fake healer, a false prophet, a trick star, whatever, just to smear your character before men.

When we get to heaven, a lot of surprises definitely await us.

But… When next you hear someone slander and throw dirt on the memory of God’s servant, A. A. Allen, know in your heart he is simply repeating what he read in a book.

"Allen died at the Jack Tar Hotel in San Francisco, California, on June 11, 1970, at the age of 59. He died after a heavy drinking binge. Don Stewart, his successor, was accused of attempting "to clean up evidence of his mentor's alcoholic binge in a San Francisco hotel before the police arrived". Stewart says he was not trying to cover up anything but was trying to protect Allen. Nonetheless, police found his body in a "room strewn with pills and empty liquor bottles". However, following a twelve-day investigation and an autopsy, the coroner's report concluded Allen died from liver failure brought on by acute alcoholism. It makes no sense that a "christian denomination" or a "christian mafia" would target someone like Allen. The very idea is laughable. To what purpose?

Allen's life is tragic, and a stark reminder to stay grounded in biblical truth, and not follow the prosperity/name it and claim it cults.

Nigel, that is a false accusation, and something that you do frequently. The truth came out that A. A Allen was murdered, and the doctor that did it made a death bed confession. A copy of the check was given to the Allen family. It doesn’t seem to bother you to hold on to the lie and even to spread the lie after the truth has come out.

The only way that is possible would maybe (and that is A HUGE maybe), if he was injected with pure ethanol, but this would be detectable as a form of poisoning as it's not metabolized in the same way when injected, and pure ethanol is not normally ingested anyway...

You would have to inject a man with so much liquor he would die of blood dilution before he dies of alcohol poisoning.

I don't anything about this man, but I do know that liver failure from alcohol does not come from injection, but from years of cirrhosis (hardening of the liver) and alcohol consumption. A lethal dose of injected ethanol (if this is even possible given how much would need to be injected) would lead to kidney failure likely before it would effect the liver in any fatal ways. I guess maybe full renal failure might result, which would include the liver but also the kidneys and other organs.

Liver failure alone is the result of long term acute alcoholism, there is no getting around that (unless he has liver disease, which would have just been stated, and this entire topic wouldn't even exist).

His life is an object lesson to the scriptures warning us that if we think we are something, if we think we stand, let us take heed lest we fall.

Pastor Joe sweet knows AA Allen’s grand daughter, and this information was given to him. Bobby Conner was rebuked by the Lord for just reading and a false account of A A Allen’s death. So, you can believe the lie if you want to.

You really don’t get it because you would rather believe a lie about a righteous man than believe the truth. A.A. Allen was murdered, and the doctor that murdered him was paid $10,000 by a Christian denomination. A. A. Allen’s grand daughter has a copy of the check. I know Pastor Joe Sweet, a man of integrity and truth.

If you just read the last paragraph of my post than I can understand that conclusion. It's hard to accept sometimes a fall of a respected brother. We can still celebrate the truth he did stand for (if he did, like I said, I don't know anything about him) when he stood, and hope that perhaps in the time before his death he was brought to a place of repentance, as alcoholism is not a fall into sin, but a conscious venture into years of rebellion.

This is a topic best left for the judgment seat of Jesus, as no man has the full story, and the lengths to which people go to cover up scandals, as well as perpetuate them, know no bounds.

Either way, toxicology reports are pretty accurate regarding cause of death in these cases, as the liver speaks for itself almost every time.

I don't knowingly accuse anyone falsely. I am human and make mistakes, but I can't recall any false accusations I have made on SI.

I might criticize some teachers I hold to be false. That is a very different matter.

Being skeptical of pastor FlimFlam's Patented Snake Oil (TM), for example, is not being unloving or pharisaical (as are the charges often heaped on me); it is what someone does when they hold the church of Jesus Christ to be the most valuable thing in the universe.

You could say the same thing about Leonard Ravenhill, who talks about A.A. Allen's alcoholism and whore mongering on the "Interview With Leonard Ravenhill" you can find on this website.

Can't you see how these false teachers divide the church? We wouldn't be in contentious debates if every preacher were like Wilkerson or Moody (who lived lives above reproach.)
