Edited post:
This is a sermon of John McArthur, the challenge is, can we really trust the God of the Jews, the God of the Christians. We may say that the Jews are but a hopeless people who has to bear the waves of disasters due to their self-inflicted rejection from the grace of God_or the Christians who often suffer, and endure difficulties as they abandon wordly gains to pursue their faith. Is our faith afterall is simply but a foolish delusion.
Will we not follow the tragic fate of Israel as we battle and lost to sin and wordly entaglements after we became christians.
John McArthur is a 'Calvinist' and 'Cessationist' who often clash with pentecostal groups. I am a pentecostal christian, I do not share his cessationist views and statements on revivals. Many I know are not 'Cessationist' by claim but are practically cessationist by their actions.
His sermons about Israel do not follow the thought of many calvinists that I know, I find them educating and challenging.
