My encouragement to all of you comes from Hebrews again.Currently I am reading Hebrews and there's a verse that caught my eye it goes like this:"Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family.So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2:11
I was speaking to my father and how he had a disagreement with what our Pastor does.I also agreed with him because our Pastor focuses a bit too much on tithing if you know what I mean.I know that tithing isn't really in the new testament but it talks about giving and to give cheerfully.Usually our pastor says something along the lines of "Because some of you don't tithe that is why you are missing out on a blessing."Now take note that my Father used to believe in such things too but now he thinks like me:To give not to get something in return.We shouldn't give expecting a blessing from God as if we could bribe him.God will give to whom he desires to give.
Now what's the point of me saying this?Well I wonder how many of you,like me,have had some disagreements with our fellow brothers and sisters?I'm sure many of you have so here is my encouragement.Do not forget that we are brothers and sisters.If one asked you in that time of strong disagreement with that brother/sister who wronged you in a way.If they asked you "Are you ashamed to call them brothers and sisters?" What would your response be?
We are one body made of many,many parts.We are not just a body though but we are joined to the head.The head controls all that's in the body.Do not be ashamed to call each other brothers and sisters.Christ our Lord is not ashamed even though we go against him many times and fail him.He is not ashamed when we wrong him but as it is later said in Hebrews.
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death””that is, the devil”” and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.For this reason he had to be made like them,fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Do not be ashamed to call each other brothers and sisters even in disagreements.We are one family.
