Francis of Assisi/Restoration

I read a small biography of Francis of Assisi a little while back. I learned that he had a vision and the Lord called him to help Him "restore His church".It is odd because the Lord is still calling people to "restore His church". It suddenly hit me that He has been doing this for so long - throughout the ages. And that I will probably die trying to help restore the church and never see it happen- just like Francis of Assisi and others.Any thoughts by anyone on this?The Lord did reveal to me once that I was "walking where giants have walked" (because I was studying the Classics)- and usually someone is not considered a spiritual giant until after they are dead. :( Oh well, all we can do is go where He tells us and do what He wants. And that I will probably die trying to help restore the church and never see it happen- just like Francis of Assisi and others.I often think of Hebres 11v13:"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."God has spoken alot to many of the local believers that I know on that subject of restoration, its always important to remember that we don't put some kind of a time condition on it, such as "I want to see such and such happen in the next 5 years". If we do that we get discouraged and setle for less than what God is after. Rather we need to be like Abraham, always keeping the city, whose builder and maker is God, in view. Forsaking all earthly cities and presing on. In many ways it doesn't matter if we die without seeing the restoration that God has put in our hearts. the key is to see it by faith afar off, thats as sure and certain as if you saw it in front of your physical eyes (heb 11:1)Blessings, Stuart.
