Well now.

For those with prophetic insight, this article speaks for itself.

Thought I would add this link as well... I will let it also speak for itself. They just expanded to 10 member nations, now including Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Hmmm.

Looking into this brought these verses to my spirit.

"he *said to me, "The waters which you saw where the prostitute sits are peoples and multitudes, and nations and languages. And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled. The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.” Rev 17:15-18

I am trying to think if there is a more pompous opening phrase to use”” can’t think of one off hand.

He knows his audience - a motley crew of strange fire adherents, preterists of varying degrees, flat earthers, one monism proponent (so far), a universal reconciliationist (everybody will allegedly have a get-out-of-hell-free-card, so it's all okay), a pre-trib rapture guy, a frustrated ex-charismatic, an early church "fathers" contemplative type, and a few Spirit-filled believers who have not fallen into any of the aforementioned traps, but who nonetheless walk circumspectly, knowing they're no better than anyone else.

He might have written, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

I remember when the 10 nations was the European common market.

In 50 years it will be something else.

Prophecy has been bestowed on us in order that we may know how, in the midst of confusion and the varied forms of Satan's working, we may stand and act as those who belong to Christ. We know as a simple fact how the Church has so greatly overlooked this important aspect of God's revealed truth. We know also how the enemy has sought to cast a kind of discredit upon every effort which is made for any to understand and use prophecy themselves, or to give instruction to others therein. But this, instead of leading us to overlook this precious deposit of God's truth, ought to make us the more earnest in not neglecting that which is so important. If discredit be cast upon upon such investigation it ought to cause us to look more to the God of all grace, that He may vouchsafe to us the teaching of His Spirit that we may use it aright.

("Remarks on the Visions of Daniel" - Samuel Tregelles (1813-1875)

And yet great Spirit filled men differ greatly on this topic.

To suggest only an "insightful” few have it right smacks of a certain type of Gnosticism, for lack of a better term.

I would suggest no one has it figured out and headline eisegesis rarely if ever works out.

Todd,

Is the point of your comments simply strife?

I posted what seemed like interesting information for those with an interest and insight into eschatology and prophetic events - and in comes Todd with vitriol and bitterness.

The issue isn't the information or that people are interested or not, the issue in this thread is you, and if you're blind to that, I am concerned for you.

What does this article show you, what is your insight.
I don't see any meaning, so it is an honest question.

None really. I know some people believe Saudi Arabia could be Babylon, others don't. Some believe in literal kingdoms and a literal fulfillment of prophecy, others don't.

I wasn't pushing an agenda, more so just posting what may be interesting information given the larger scenarios playing out in the middle east.

We get the list of the 10 nations in Ezekiel, and Saudi Arabia is not in it.

This is why I don't push an eschatological agenda (other than Israels role), or argue the finer details.

To seriously think the name "Saudi Arabia" would be in ancient scripture is to betray a striking immaturity, especially for someone claiming a call to the office of prophet.

I'm not trying to sound confrontational, but before speaking into topics we should always do at least some preliminary research.

I thought I was helping, brother; now for your slap, hopefully it leads you to Godly Sorrow.

Quote: I'm not trying to sound confrontational, but before speaking into topics, we should always do at least some preliminary research.

I am not going to let you hide behind those false words: you went personnel over the words "Saudi Arabia."

"I'm not trying to sound confrontational."

Then claim to be innocent?

1. You assume that there is no research on the matter?

I spent a year in the Middle East, some of that time in Saudi Arabia, have you?

2. You assume some immaturity on my behalf.

You don't even know me but think I am immature because I said "Saudi Arabia."

3. Then you attack the calling on my life.

All this is because of the words "Saudi Arabia."

Your "superiority complex" is revealed: condescending, smug, and mean to others with whom you disagree or don't understand.

Todd: Perhaps you are right. Perhaps you are wrong. I have not followed it that closely. But it seems to me that all of our speculation might be unneccesary. I think when the time comes, those who are seeking God will know. His DAY comes as a thief in the night and no man knows it. But we won't be ignorant of the season.
