Babies Saved!

D
Denny Aug 4, 2005

One Baby Was Saved At The Abortion Clinic Today And Another Save Is Connected To LLM'S Richmond Literature Drop Project This morning eleven Christians "showed up" on the street at Richmond Medical Center for Women. I stated in my last update on Saturday, July 30, "when Christians show up, babies are saved". Today another baby escaped death and another mother escaped the guilt of killing her child. Here's what happened."A couple drove in and the man let a woman out to go into the killing center. He then parked his car. As he approached the door, Mary Penner called out to him and offered him a packet of LLM's literature. He walked over and accepted it. Mary challenged him to take it inside and give it to the woman he had brought to the mill. He did. Some time later they both came back out. Mary said that she was happy to see them leaving. The woman, with a big smile on her face, thanked Mary. She said that she was also glad to be leaving and again thanked Mary for intervening."The second victory is connected to our ongoing Richmond Literature Drop Campaign. Our Father uses even our mistakes for His gloryThis morning Lauren Murch related the following story.Several weeks ago a crew from the Murch clan joined us on the street in our effort to get convicting pro-life Gospel literature into every home in Richmond. On this particular day a group of three young people ended up on a street corner waiting to be picked up by me as we worked the streets. I couldn't find them because they ended up at the wrong corner, or so I thought. Our Father had His own plans. While standing on the corner, Lauren Murch handed a piece of our literature to a woman who then asked Lauren to put some on a particular door because the woman who lived there was being pressured into having an abortion. Lauren put several pieces on the door and memorized the address. Some time later Lauren wrote a letter to this woman that she had never met face-to-face. She included a "Little Feet" lapel pin that is shaped like the feet of a ten week old preborn babyYesterday, Lauren recieved a call from the lady who received the liteature and the letter. She told Lauren that she had decided to let her baby live and she had been wearing the pin ever since. She was blown away by the fact that Lauren cared enough to do what she did and follow up with her.Remember what I said, "When Christians show up, babies are saved."Please continue to pray for Life and Liberty Ministries and the people we encounter on the street daily. Thanks for sharing. I was involved for 15 years in the pro-life ministry and how well I know how difficult it is. Especially when women will go ahead knowing full well it is sin - they will tell you so but then expect God to forgive them after they get done with the procedure.God bless you all, ginnyrose

I consider myself a prolife person. I agree that abortions are wrong, but (I know here comes the but), there are circumstances where I think it is appropriate and ok. For instance a child is raped by a parent or relative, or if it would put the mother at risk of death or worse. All I am saying is that instead of condemning the woman for making the choice, try figuring out the reason behind the choice then minister her into making the right choice.

I consider myself a prolife person.More important than being "pro-life" is being obedient to the revealed Word of God.I agree that abortions are wrong, but (I know here comes the but), there are circumstances where I think it is appropriate and ok. For instance a child is raped by a parent or relativeAre there other situations that also warrant disobedience to clear Scripture? "Thou shalt not murder" didn't include exception clauses. God's wisdom is higher than ours and if we think we have a better way of handling a situation than God, we are deceived. Why exactly should a baby die because a man committed a crime against a relative? Did the child who is created in the image and likeness of God do anything to earn dismemberment? Did God demand the killing of a child conceived by rape? Never! It is no act of compassion to double the victims trauma by making them a party in an additional crime. In Proverbs chapter six we read that God, "hates the hands that shed innocent blood". When did He change his mind? All I am saying is that instead of condemning the woman for making the choice, try figuring out the reason behind the choice then minister her into making the right choice.Coming to a clear understanding of our sin and its repugnance is the first step toward repentance. If you spent a day or two in front of an abortion clinic you would see that most of the girls go in with a full understanding of the fact that they are killing their baby. We live in a culture of death, and convenience is the motivating factor behind the large majority of abortions. When someone stands on a sidewalk at an abortion clinic, they usually have about 15 to 30 seconds to change the girls mind. There is no time for psychoanalyisis. People who are broken, contrite and open are able to receive a message of grace and forgiveness. When one is in the very act of sin and that sin involves the emminent murder of their own child, immediate and sometimes harsh action must be taken. It won't always be words dripping with honey. A stern harsh rebuke is often called for.I have been full-time on the street at clinics since 1994. Brother, I've tried many methods and seen the effectiveness and flaws in them all. Some times a photo of a dismembered baby will cause a girl to turn. Sometimes it's the knowledge of past botched abortions by the abortionist. Sometimes it's a harsh rebuke. Sometimes it's a soft quiet conversation. It all depends on where the girl is coming from. In the several seconds you have available, you must do a quick evaluation of where the girl is coming from. Sometimes you get clues by the response she makes to what you are saying. Sometimes there is no way to know but one thing is certain, if you don't speak out on behalf of the baby that is scheduled to be killed, he/she will die a brutal death with no follower of Christ intervening on their behalf. THAT is shameful.

Praise God! That is awesome to here! That's why i love com,ing here, there is always a hallmark (granted some days you really gotta look ;-) ) oof God's abundant and amazing Grace! I pray those two babies that were saved become mighty men or women of God and advocates for pro-life! What a testimony.

Denny,Praise God for this excellent report of ministry in virginia. Before I was married in Rochester, NY my wife and I used to do a little side walk counseling, but mostly prayer and picketing outside a hospital that murdered unborn children. That hospital went out of business a few years ago, but the abortion business has shifted to different hospitals and clinics around town. Question: Do you take your children with you ministering at abortion clinics? I have 6 children, oldest is 11 and was just curious. This is a battle that christians need to continue waging...In Christ,Doug Renz

Denny, So let me get this strait, you believe that a 12 yr old girl that is raped and molested by her father should go through the pain and tribulation of going through a pregnancy? Who are you to judge her. I'm not trying to say you are wrong for your beliefs or what actions you are taking. I actually admire people like you who have taken the initiative to make a stand and stick up for the unborn children of the world. And yes you are right the bible does state that murder is wrong, but that is for God and that woman to work out between them. In Leviticis the bible also talks about incest as being detestable. Sorry I am so pointed, but I had a friend that at age 13 was molested by her father and inturn ended up pregnant. She was not permitted to even think about abortion due to her religion. Now 12 yrs later she is unable to have kids due to the fact that she carried a baby at age 13 and it destroyed her insides. What do I tell her? It is better that you let a child out of rape live then to give you a chance for your husband and you to have kids of your own. I can't live with knowing that.

Dear Agape Love,You are trying to use a situation of a 12 yr old to justify the killing of an unborn child. It's unfortunate that this 12-13 yr old has had physical problems due to this pregnancy and can't bear children now that she is older, but how can we play judge to the sitaution before we knew this would happen? The father that raped her child should also be judged for his crime, not the child that was created in her womb. Sin is sin, but God is able to restore what was destroyed, both in the lives of this girl and also in the child that was conceived out out of sin. You can't justify murder of an unborn child because of the sin of another.I hope I am making sense. In Christ's love,Doug

AgapeLove81 Aug 5, 2005

Doug, No, I agree 110% that abortion is wrong, but like everything else in the world, who are we to judge whether a person should be condemned or not. God is the judge not you or me. I guess, there is no use in stating my beliefs or arguing. So can we agree to disagree? As far as you making sense you are making perfect sense. I am just tainted because of my friend's experience.

So let me get this strait, you believe that a 12 yr old girl that is raped and molested by her father should go through the pain and tribulation of going through a pregnancy? Who are you to judge her. What I believe is of little consequence. What does the Scripture say? There are thousands of opinions floating around and everyone is so sure that their way of thinking is correct. The problem is that most of the "scholars" out there base thier reasonings upon humanistic philosophies and take little thought as to what Almighty God has to say on the topic. My question to you is, what part of "Thou shalt not murder" don't you understand? It seems to me that the casting of judgement is solely upon your head. Your judgement requires that a baby has her arms and legs ripped off. I only say obey God. It is no act of mercy to kill children. What kind of woman will a young girl grow up to be who has been taught by "christians" that if you find yourself in a bad situation through no fault of your own, it's fine to kill your children? Please produce a biblical defense for killing innocent chilren? And yes you are right the bible does state that murder is wrong, but that is for God and that woman to work out between them.Do me a favor and if you ever see a mother or any other adult in the act of killing their child, please quickly get out of the way. There may be a Christian nearby who takes the biblical command to protect the innocent seriously and they may need to run past you to save that child. Where in the world do you get the idea that killing children is just a matter for God and the mother to work out?Are you equally against intervention when people rape, molest, kill, etc. etc. children?Isn't it just a matter for the adult and God to "work out"? Please, pick up the Word, read it and believe it. Your statements are ungodly and I hear the same reasoning all the time from the heathen who seek to kill their babies without guilt. Now 12 yrs later she is unable to have kids due to the fact that she carried a baby at age 13 and it destroyed her insides. It is better that you let a child out of rape live then to give you a chance for your husband and you to have kids of your own.Friend your problem seems to be that you feel that you are more righteous and merciful than God. The above question will be crystal clear to you once you submit your will and arguments to the God who you will answer to. That truly is a matter between you and God.

Denny,I greatly appreciate your work in saving unborn babies. It is extremely obvious that you are very passionate about your ministry. I would imagine that it must take a lot of patience and longsuffering to endure seeing woman after woman disappear inside and return after having murdered their baby. I agree completely that abortion is wrong in any and all circumstances. I believe that abortion is murder and that God despises abortion just as He despised it when the Israelites would sacrice their children to molech. However, this is where I have a problem. I believe that you dealt rather unfairly with Agapelove81 Be patient towards all men. I Thessalonians 5:14Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. II Timothy 4:2A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35I believed that you jumped the gun way to early to deliver the stunning rebuke that you gave Agapelove81. Exhort with all longsuffering. Agapelove81 was attempting to discuss her point of view with you. Which means that you had the chance to work with this person perhaps convince them that your point of view is correct. Also, I believe that you are wrong by insinuating that Agapelove81 is a heathen and not a Christian. Ask yourself this:Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Matthew 7:2While I believe that you are right in your urgency in exhorting the women seeking abortions to abandon the idea of getting an abortion. I know that you do not have much time to act before they walk into the building.Basically, you should treat your fellow brethern in Christ with love and kindness. Although it is obvious that you do not share Agapelove81's views, you should show enough respect your fellow Christian to patiently correct them when you believe that they are wrong. Changing this fallen world's opinion on abortion is a hard fight. However in this online forum you have a lot more time to patiently and with a gentler tone. After all, if you treat your fellow Christians with respect and dignity, I believe that you are much, much more likely to convince them of your point of view and maybe join you at the frontlines of the crusade to end abortion. The battle for eradicating abortion is won one mind at a time. When you have to opporitunity to peacably convince someone that your cause is right, I suggest you make the most of the opporitunity that God has given you. With this said.Ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. II Corinthians 2:7

I believed that you jumped the gun way to early to deliver the stunning rebuke that you gave Agapelove81. Exhort with all longsuffering. Agapelove81 was attempting to discuss her point of view with you. Which means that you had the chance to work with this person perhaps convince them that your point of view is correct. Also, I believe that you are wrong by insinuating that Agapelove81 is a heathen and not a Christian.Go back and read my first reply to Agapelove81. The tone was gentle and Biblical. Please understand where I am coming from. It is fine to debate issues of pre-trib vs. post-trib or free will vs. election. There is room for disagreement in many area. However,There is never justification for a christian to defend killing children, period. When the issue was dealt with gently on page one, Agapelove81, came back with another defense of killing children. If the Word of God doesn't settle the issue and preferences and baseless opinions trump Scripture and a believer comes to an open forum to advance sinful opinions - then - a corrective rebuke is called for.I am open for correction if I err, but in this situation (and I did reread my posts and asked for a critical evaluation from another) I stand by my statements.Compassion, love and patience aren't always dripping with honey. I for one will not let a justification for murdering children go unchallenged. You must realize that once a person posts views that are sinful on a Christian message board, those views are out there for the whole world to see. People are swayed as they read. Truth must be defended. Gentle dialog must end and correction take place on and open forum if the poster sees fit to post opinions that defend innocent bloodshed.I don't know Agapelove81 and I never had doubts as to his/her Christian commitment. The veiws, however, that were posted were sinful and rooted in worldly reasoning. I could have replied to the poster via personal message but the defense of child killing was on the board for all to read, that is why I felt compeled to deal with the issue on the board. My heart motive was pure and I must stand by my comments.

Denny,I am very sorry for voicing my views. It is obvious that you are pationate about what you do. I hope that you continue with your great ministry. From now on I will keep all views to myself when it comes to this baby killing you speak of. As I have stated numerous times YES ABORTIONS ARE WRONG, I'm just very sorry you failed to notice me saying that in ALL my posts. Also never once did I say that partial birth abortions were right. Under no circumstances are those right. And those pictures you show are of partial birth abortions. I was refering to the 6 wk pregnancy ones. But I with draw all statements that deal with abortion!

AgapeObadiah Aug 6, 2005

Denny, First of all, congratulations on convincing the women to not have abortions. I am sorry, I should have mentioned this in my first post. This is the point I was making. Instead of blasting someone whose views are different than your own, why not take this opportunity to lay out your biblical case to support your view. I am well aware of the fact that the three of us are not the only ones that view this website. By laying out the scriptural argument that supports your view, I believe that you would do a much better job of correcting her view and anyone else that happens to read this debate. "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." II Timothy 4:2"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things. Ephesians 4:15My point is this. When correcting someone, use the word. Not character attacks.Do me a favor and if you ever see a mother or any other adult in the act of killing their child, please quickly get out of the way. There may be a Christian nearby who takes the biblical command to protect the innocent seriously and they may need to run past you to save that child.Use the word to correct a fellow Christian."So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12If you really want to reform someone, depend on the renewing power of the word of God to do the work. Never forget that the world will know that we are Christians because we love one another."A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34-35

I am very sorry for voicing my views. There is no need for being sorry for sharing your views. It is goiod to dialog with other Christians so that false doctrine and wrong opinions can be corrected and refined. The problem I see with your posts is that you simply want to share an unbiblical opinion and not be challenged on it. That, my friend, is sinful. From now on I will keep all views to myself when it comes to this baby killing you speak of.Why not rather repent and follow the teachings of the Scriptures? Why remain so stubborn in your beliefs when they are so patently unbiblical and deadly? As I have stated numerous times YES ABORTIONS ARE WRONG, I'm just very sorry you failed to notice me saying that in ALL my posts. You did state this already. It is one of the statements that condemn you. You know that killing babies is wrong and yet you persist in defending the murder of babies. Please stop posting on a Christian site, beliefs that are entirely anti-christian and evil. There are pro-abortion sites that share your ungodly views. If you do post here, you will be corrected. If my statements regarding God's view of human life are wrong, produce the evidence. Otherwise, believe what the Scripture says and cease from defending baby killing. Also never once did I say that partial birth abortions were right. What difference does the method of killing make. If I was to say that I oppose killing by hanging but the firing squad is OK, would that make any difference. Murder is murder regardless of how it is carried out.Under no circumstances are those right. Please tell me what makes PBA wrong and suction abortion permisible? You have to do mental gymnastics to come to these conclusions. Did the God of the unverse say that killing can be acceptable as long as you do it early while the person is still young? And those pictures you show are of partial birth abortions.I have no pictures of PBA. You speak falsely and don't understand the issue you speak of. If you have been to my website you will see photos of a 7 week aborted baby that was murdered by suction. You will see a second trimester baby boy that was killed by dismemberment and that pieced back together. You will also see a third trimester baby that had her head torn from her body with forceps. There are no PBA photos, but why would that make any difference anyway. The method of the killing isn't the issue, murder is.I was refering to the 6 wk pregnancy ones.By your own words you proclaim yourself to be in favor of killing children as long as they are young. Shame on you!If age is the paramount issue, would it be OK in your view for a person to molest a child as long as that child is below a certain age chosen by yourself?Could a man rape a little girl as long as she is below the cut off age?How does the age of the victim have any bearing in the discussion when the Scipture clearly states, "Thou shalt not murder"? It doesn't go on to say (in a footnote) "unless the victim is really little".Some may not like it that I don't break out in a round of Kum-ba-ya and say, oh well we just have to agree to disagree. When baby killing is defended, I will address the issue. The integrity of the Scriptures, the defense of true Christian doctrine, and God's honor deserve no less.

Point taken. Since neither one of us are backing down, and since I can't find any "biblical reason" to support abortion I will big the bigger person and stop posting. Again good luck with your ministry and may God Bless you and yours.

So let me get this strait, you believe that a 12 yr old girl that is raped and molested by her father should go through the pain and tribulation of going through a pregnancy? Who are you to judge her.Why should this revolting crime against the girl be answered by taking the child's life? Oh, I understand that might ease the mother's pain, it might make the mother feel better (though, it may make things more difficult, too). But even if it did, even if she felt great afterwards and even if it made future pregnancy possible, is that a good reason to take the life of an innocent human being? We wouldn't even allow the mother to kill the rapist, the one who did the crime, to make her feel better. Why should we then let her kill the child? If we allowed an abortion under those circumstances it would send a terrible message, that when someone reminds you of something extremely painful you can eliminate them. But you can't kill another human being just because their existence makes your life physically or emotionally burdensome. This actually helps to clarify the real issue of abortion. What kind of living thing is it that resides in a mother's womb? If the unborn child is not a living person then no excuse for abortion is necessary. If it is, than no excuse whatsoever is adequate. In Christ,Ron

The lady who was raped would regret murdering her child more than she would of just having been raped. All abortions are wrong.

Denny, you had quite a discussion here...sorry I was ignoring it the past few weeks, but then I was also gone some of the time.A poster suggested it would be fine to AB a child conceived because of rape.....It might be helpful for him to understand that rape results in very few pregnancies. Even when it does occur, it does NOT justify allowing the child to be killed. I remember one client who was so adament agaist aborting her child which was the result of rape. She said it is not right to make the child pay for the sin of someone else!! I tell you, I gave her everything she needed to help her through that pregnancy and afterwards. She was one grateful client. Then what about the guilt? Will you justify it? You think God would be impressed with your excuses? ginnyrose
