"The department social development just came today and collected our 3 boys. On account of them being home schooled unregistered. Well we applied but got no reply from the Department of Basic Education despite a clause that states they should respond within 30 days (whether rejection or approval). Well they also bring issues such as them not being social. So while we have membership with Pesta Lozzi who offers home education defense, we are not sure if they shall cover the not being social allegations. But it all here and we need to face it so I may be essentially absent until all is hopefully resolved."

Few details of interest. Due to the need to renew PestaLozzi membership using a bank account with regular funds (from social security grants) - renewal was delayed until 10th this month and they needed upto 15 business days to process renewal. So today was the 15th day to my calculations. And the renewal notice had not come yet but I contacted the Trust anyways. They could very well have claimed my membership was not reinstated yet (as it was not the end of bisiness day) but they did not. I just learned that they Apponted an Attorney for us who already contacted looking for more info and docs - which I have just sent.

While our two older sons were calmer (great comfort), our ASD child was our worst concern as he get hard to deal with and needs to be piggy-backed for several minutes before he sleeps amonsgt other needs he has. We just received a message that they are bringing him as I write (though not peprmanent but hopefully the Attoneies will have made progress by any time they might need to take him). So already comforting...

As I delivered the info to the Attornies, I really felt we have a case. So again good hope - as trial as the whole issue is.

P.S: It crossed my mind few days back and I knew I would have no good plan should they just show up (and this was after the social workers went quet for the rest of 2023) - then I found me casting it to God and left it off thus.

It seems that God is answering prayer, thankyou Lord.

The other two play a lot together and should be better in each other's company essentially. I did not want to say this until they possibly come back (and I ascertain) but I feel I should now.

My brother works as a child care worker in centers like the one they may have taken the boys to. So while not too often, he reports of the possibily peer-sexual-assaults there. I have already prayed about it explicitly amongst other prayers and hope that by brethren's prayes too, God will in his goodness and mercies protect them. Thats all for now

We just spoke to the boys over the phone and they seemed calm still. No issue either than a mosquito drama the younger one reported (opened window perhaps). I am awaitng a Zoom consutation with the Attorneys - after which they should advise our legal options.

We later learned that our ASD boy was returned on account that he cried after the social workers as they assayed to leave him. Well knowing him, it was not us he must have missed, but the car ride. He has a bad car riding obsession that he tries to get you to drive on when you pull over at a stop sign, destination, etc (We use his granny's car sometimes). He once cried as we approached our home gate I recall, seemingly knowing the car would soon need to be shut off and get parked.

This alone seems to have been what occassioned the granting of our deepest hear's desire. The social worker thus going against a court order (which included all 3 boys).

PS: I forgot to add that: the very fact that the whole evil had to befall precisely on day 15 (last) of the Trust's membership renewal window just fills us with assurance that we are going through all this with God.

Updates: Consulted with the Attorney today and they feel the social part is less weighty as it is informed by religion and other social circumstances. This is good news thus far as the registering for home education part has been the DBE's ommission since we last applied and therefore is to be arguable.

Hoping they will mobalise something soon. Sad part is that, granny says we will need to leave her yard if the boys are fetched back. No she is not on our side at all!

Updates

Our younger (of the two that are away) boy is said to be under the weather. Has not been eating well for days and threw up last night. Well he is the same one who reported mosquitoes last time we spoke to him and so we came to fear for Malaria :(

The personel from social services was not very nice and leaned more on how the stranger who called us was not suppose to according the rules. She concluded by saying the carers there should see our ill boy and do something. We think that perhaps she just felt bad because she gave us the impression that boys were placed at some school there and we just learned they are not due to outstanding test and uniform.

The Attorney eventually got hold of them today so hopefully the will probe them accordingly (yes we informed them about the ill boy)

I found myself asking God to have my boys restored however necessary last night. But this morning I came to be reminded that persecution is one affliction type that scriptures do not guarantee prevailing prayer on (only for streagth to carry on I understand). We are to be faithful unto death. I of cause continue to pray for them to find favor in a foreign land.

Attorneys last contacted the social workers requesting all particulars of the case. To then commence with legal advises on our options. Yes we have made it clear to the social workers from day one that our homeschooling was largely motivated by Christianity. To cultivate an environment where the boys could easy find Christ if at all granted. Yes the Christian schools around were not satisfactory.

It was just yesterday when I felt really heart broken over our absent boys. Yes, prayers for them have not ceased and certainly should not. The trust as well as their appointed Attorneys are looking to have a meeting this week to see what could be done to help the situation.

After learning that we had appointed Attorneys (around the ending of the first week), the social workers immediately cut ties with us. Unfortunately, this was before they could share the phone number to the center where the kids are kept (yes they were already dragging about it evidently). So we neither have the boys with us nor can hear from them now.

But I was reminded that the fruit of patience or long suffering comes only when one is undergoing difficulties. That each time we go before God (in Christ's name) and ask (or remind him) to aveng for us in healthy faith, he is harvesting the fruit of patience. Oh for more streath to bear on!
