I've come down with covid for the very first time and feel like I've been drug through a knot hole sideways. Rough. I'm off work. Any prayers appreciated.

Praying for you, docs.
James 5:14
"14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:"
While God can grant through any prayer made in faith, he is a God of protocol I understand. This means we may go without a granted answer to prayer simply because we overlooked protocols. Am I wrong?
John Wesley on his commentary on the same verse said:
"Having anointed him with oil - This single conspicuous gift, which Christ committed to his apostles, Mark 6:13, remained in the church long after..."
He is here implying the need for the ministry of a gift. Not the prayer of an ordinary, though pious, Christian.
PS. While his commentary is not to be authoritative, what he is presenting is very plausible else James should have said; "let him pray" (as he advised the afflicted) instead of calling for the elders.

Of course David as you are supposed to stay in isolation.
Oh, I thought I might add that you nonetheless have my deep sympathy and prayer for favor over all the circumstances.
Praying for you as requested.
On a positive note, isolation will give you some good quiet time with the Lord.
BTW, large doses of zinc, and vitamins c, d, and e were helpful when I had covid. The nasty flu-like symptoms were over in 3-4 days. But a cough did linger on for a month.
In Christ,
