Oh, Father guard my heart from the things of this fallen world
Let me not step back, but instead push me ever forwardÂ
Allow your light in me to be brought fully forth
Creating in me your Son’s image to full maturity and complete growth
So many need you, need your precious Son Jesus Christ, His forgiveness, compassion, divine mercy, His tender loving touch
Oh, Father bring forth Your very breath through Christ and the Spirit into this increasingly darkening dreadful night
Rid me totally of self, whatever be left, and bring forth from within me a fullness of Your Son's precious life instead
Reveal Holy Father your only begotten Son clearly within the midst of this darkness, to those you are passionately pursuing
Not my will, but your will be done, on earth and for all eternities
No more loss time I plead, I seek to be fully yours and you be fully mine, linked together as true abiding biblically brings
Let not your servant’s inner cry go unrewarded, nor the many desperately needing you to continually go unseen
For your glory alone, reveal yourself to this generation so they will through repentance turn and believe
Father bring forth your Son in me, and may His voice alone be clearly heard and visibly seen
