Mat 18:6

"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away”‰”‹”””‰”‹it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.

1Co 3:17

If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, and that is what you are.

There are two ways to cause one of the Bride of Christ to fall away or to destroy God's temple, His Spiritual Body.

One way is by being the leaven of the Pharisees, that is by being a hypocrite whose life is marked by having one's hypoctitical speech, conduct AND character become a bad example to other more immature Christians who assume that such a farce is acceptable to God. Such bad examples of saying one thing, professing one thing but having a life marked by lies and immorality or impurity lead many astray ...... the blind leading the blind. This is especially true for leaders but also for those held out as mature.

The second way is to not protect the little ones of Christ (the Bride) from those who would cause them to fall away by their hypocrisy. To assume no responsibility, especially as the mature Body of Christ, to protect those who are not able (in their spiritual immaturity) to protect themselves from the leaven or cancer of hypocrisy is a millstone/damnable offense because not doing the good you know to do is sin.

In the local church this responsibility for not letting the damning leaven of hypocrisy spread amongst the sheep falls to the leadership and the more mature brothers and sisters in the Body called to care for the young and vulnerable sheep.

In the public setting with public ministries, this calls for the same people in the larger body to step up and protect the same vulnerable from direct harm and indirect harm of the leaven of hypocrisy, especially among leaders.

Millstones are heavy and tough to recover from.

Just for the record, God is exposing the leaven of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees in today's church and He is looking for those who are the remnant to protect the Bride from that leaven/cancer. Don't touch the Bride with harm nor allow her to be harmed. Jesus is a jealous and most serious Bridegroom and He's going to come back expecting the friends of the Bridegroom to have done their job of considering her precious, protecting her and getting her ready.

Luk 12:1-2

¶
Meanwhile, a crowd of many thousands came together, so that they were trampling on one another. He began to say to his disciples first, "Be on your guard against the leaven[fn] of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

"There is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered, nothing hidden that won’t be made known.

The Lord has been speaking this to me as well, from a different angle however - more along the lines of authenticity, reality, and walking in the light so as to expose darkness.

This is the unity of the Spirit, the same Lord speaking the same message, albeit filling in all gaps with His different speakings.

Amen dear brother.
