Satanic Signs On Church doors?

Help!!I had some come to me the other day and question the usage of certain symbols that we have adorning Christian product in our store!(We are a very conservitive bookstore and cautious about the gifts and books we offer)One sign specific that this customer had quams with was the "Triqueta" (one solid line forming three "triangle" like shapes that intescet forming what might be considered a "crows foot")Stating that it was used by pagans and converted by christians?It is on a book of spell in some tv show called "Charmed" (thank GOD I don't have cable!!) Then he brought up other signs that i know of (swatika, peace sign, you rock sign ect. ect.) It leads me to question the origin of the star around my neck, myslef, i though it to be the star of David (Ma'gen Davi) But is it satanic in origin??? It reminds to pray for israel (as does my daughter who is conviently named Israel ;-) ) As well as how God was a shield unto David throughout his life. (hence Magen as mentioned above= Shiled)Does anyone know anything about this mess or can you point me to it? The Triquetra is actually the SIGN for the NJKV bible, and to be honest that is down right scary...Any info would be helpful.

Don't worry about what they said. I know what symbol they are referring to on the spell book and that is not it, there symbol has a circle around it. The symbol on your door is the trinity symbol. And as far as the star around your neck. If it is two triangles (one pointing up the other one pointing down) then you have the star david. But if it is a cross with the ends bent upwards then you have a swastica. So don't worry, it sounds as if you have nothing to worry about.

I've heard both sides of this issue, and I say, go to the source. Find out where the symbol was first used.The triqueta is used on books of witchcraft. Let's be level-headed, though. The cross was a pagan symbol. I don't fight people about wearing crosses, but really we should be wearing empty tombs. The cross is empty (got that from my buddy). I'm not big on crosses, I'm big on the Lord Jesus. If you wear symbols, I think it is wise to study the history of it. If you wear them, so be it, but be knowledgeable of what it stands for.I have heard that the star of David, so called, was never actually used by the Jews. I have seen it compared side by side to the Masonic symbol, and it does have similarities. Again, it's not a subject I fight people about.I think it's fair to say that all symbols have a capability to be corrupted. That's why Christians are not a people of symbols. We don't put faith in charms, we have a hope of things unseen. We walk by faith.Do the research yourself. I've given up similar things as a result of study, and feel blessed as a result. The Spirit will guide you in all truth, if you are willing to submit to the truth.

Can I say something here...? Signs are meaningless. People like that really irk me. They are more concerned about a sign than they are about getting out there and winning people to Christ. It reminds me of the Salem witch trials. It's like this local pastor on one of our local fundamentalist Christian radio stations here... his pet peeve is hair length on Christian men. Almost every week he makes some mention of it. Goodness, man! If you admit the long haired man is a believer, then let God deal with him... and you get out there and reach the lost!!Krispy

Can I say something here...? Signs are meaningless.Krispy,Yes and no. We've all heard of people who 'wear their heart on their sleeve'. We give flowers to a person we admire. We wear black to the funeral of someone who was not saved. All the players of one team in the same colours. These are 'signs'. And, Paul said there are 'many voices in the world, none of which are without significance'.As Christians, we seek to be transparent, or, a true reflection of the Father and the Son, being changed from glory to glory. The world observes this and how we distance ourselves from sinful practices. This testimony matters. This is how we declare 'JESUS CHRIST IS ALIVE TODAY'. Hallelujah!So, associating ourselves with signs which suggest we are ignorant of the devices of the devil may harm the cause of Christ in the eyes of those who most need to be delivered from the power of those signs. However, (here comes the 'yes') the power of Christ (His blood) is such that an outward sign over which one has no control, is not going to damage one's standing with God, if one's heart is free from bondage. But, as an ordinary flock-member, I've got to admit, I would not want to attend a church which is rampant with occult signage outside and in, as I 'think' it shows lack of discernment (or opposition) towards pure truth. And I wouldn't want my Bible to be decorated with an occult sign because even though Christians are 'free from' such signs, they make a statement to the world which the world reads and understands, and which either promotes Christ in its eyes, or, reduces Him.
