I know nothing about them , but I have a lot of music from Brownsville Worship and I like their worship , I'm blessed from their songs. So can you tell me something about them, especaily if you about their worship and their worship leader Lindell Cooley.Thanks.
Hello. I want ask you about Brownsville Worship, you mention in one of the post something negative about Revival at Brownsville.I have been convicted by God that there are alot of false teaching pervading the church. And sadly many of these false doctrines are coming through many of these movements such as: Revival at Brownsvile and the Toronto Airport blessing, etc. I don't necessary say all that happens at these churches are negative but I do say that there is some false teachings and spiritual manifestations. The new contemporary worship style is something that is going church wide and I don't think you necessarily have to say brownsville's music is much different then others.My question is: Where have the old hymns gone to! I would love to worship with great old hymns to these new beats, drums, guitar, etc. There is so much amazing spiritual insight and revelation in those old hymns.
Tears of Joy, I too have been blessed by the music as well as the movement at Brownsville. I would encourage you, if you are considering actually studying the movement, to read books by Michael L. Brown, who was a figurehead in the movement. Especially his book "Let No One Deceive You" will help you.I would also highly recommend that you do your own primary research and not rely on second hand reports. Try and directly communicate with people involved in the movement. If you are really serious about it, go and visit and have some good conversations. If you go with a humble and teachable spirit I am very confident that you will find many people willing to talk honestly with you and help you. It is my understanding that Brownsville is a legitimate and powerfull move of God. My spirit bears witness as well as my objective research. I know that Lindell has written at least one book and I think it's about his story so you might want to try that. I think it's called "A Touch of Glory" or something.
