Hi Philip,Been thinking over your comments and I agree in whole, but also in part.My thoughts are better well summed up in this post: A Prayer to be prayed...It is a rather long text by David Wilkerson entitled "The Ministry of Beholding His Face".A couple of quotes that stood out:I thank God for everyone who feeds his mind and soul with spiritual thingsIt is why I am here much, listen to Christian talk radio (Preaching/sermons/teaching) and fill in the spaces with sermons from here as well as an audio bible (Max McLean), books, scouring the web for more resources......Why? Because I get to!I have to, to keep filling my mind with these things, feeding my soul. In this day and age we are living in, which is just a dressed up Sodom and Gomorrah it is all that I can do to keep nurished.Besides, I have finally found an outlet and others who have a passion for the truth, who long to know Him more. Fill your storehouse with resources, by getting alone with Jesus and fixing your gaze on him. Then you’ll be ready for anything. That is our ministry in these last days. This one I think sums it up best.It is both and...Getting alone, being still, time spent in His Presence, prayer, and God's word, there is no substitute. But when I can't be alone with Him (though we are never without Him)He is still beside me, behind me, in front of me, above me, below me and inside of me. How could I not be aware of that? It is all encompassing and I have to trust that by The Holy Spirit's leading, the truth's of God's word are getting down deep into the bone and marrow by whatever means are used.I will shut up and go read my Bible now... :-P
