Bible version summary

I have read a lot of what some have been saying about versions, so can I just summarise so it makes sense to my brain.The ASV is the best OT translation?The KJV is the best NT translation?If the KJV has the best NT which revision of it is the best ie 1611, etc? I suppose I could ask the same of the ASV.genuinely interested,p.s. It pains me to admit that my opinions on which version is the best has been swayed by the KingJamerites. :eek:

I heard the World english Bible was the same as the ASV but with more modern english is this true?

Because it is mentioned such alot it would be smart for someone to do an article or something on the bible versions as it is mentioned such alot!!I havent read the ASV so I wouldnt know!!

Out of all I've compared, KJV has came up shining for OT and NT. I was not happy with the whole issue when first presented with it, and it was not very fun to do the research. I'm glad I did, though. The bottom line is that most don't compare versions, they just rely on someone they trust. Just do the research yourself and then you are not just repeating what you heard someone else say. He will guide you in all truth.
